  2. 90-100% Explosive power Lactate producing sets lactate tolarance sets overloading stamina sets 85-90% Thershold endurance sets 70-85% Basic endurance does this help. Actually looking these things up in my varsity handbooks....did my honors in sport science @ nwu... Good to refresh my mind also... As soon as i get rid of flu, i am gonna use these more intensly...
  3. Ok..so a dual sus is slower bit more comfy...does a dual sus offer any other advantages other than comfort. Down hill ability and single track ability? I can sacrifice comfort for performance....
  4. Not sure if dual suspension or hardtail is the way to go. 29er is my next step. I did sani2c on hardtail 26er with no problems. Any reason I should consider dual suspension?? Mainly do marathons and the odd stage race.Lekker skinny..about 72kg and 1.83m....Any advice guys?

  6. Hi there.. lots of ways to determine your zones. The ones we are refering to here is called indirect ways.Always more accurate to determine you zones by direct ways like:5-10 min warm up followed by 4-5 min of intense riding.during last 30 seconds go flat out.You will reach your max and get a reading of your monitor... Yes your zones should be checked/adapted on a regular basis. A more accurate indirect way to determine max is 205bpm -(0.5xage)... ex 205-(0.5x20)=195bpm....
  7. Yes.. Enjoyed it. I was happy to be on my 26er today with all those sharp little turns. This race marks my 1 year return to cycling after well...a extended break since primary school.( I am 28 years old).loved it! Did 40km last year..2:35 and did the 65km this year 2:48.. So i am happy!!!! Hopefully sani2c and this race can bump me up a little higher than E batch....

  10. Yes it does. I am a sport scientist. Believe me it helps. Couple of advantages: increase bone density;increase muscular strenght; LOWER RISK OF injury....ect. you should also do power and explosive power work once your body have adapted to the gym work... You will be amazed. .....

  15. I am new to the tubeless thing..got my pucture.. little bok doring... its still leaking air slowly..did the whole spinning thing..didnt work..what do i do....???!
  16. Monday 45 min spinning + tabata set. Wednesday hills 3 hours thursday same as monday.. Saturday easy 40km ride...

  21. Its got a small buckle in, but nothing to major. will give it a go tmr. rebuild seems to be the answer..dont want this problem to persist...almost time for sani2c.....
  22. I broke a spoke for the 3rd time in 2 weeks this morning on my mtb. dt swiss 4450 rims. Can I train 2 more days without causing any major damage? 2 shorter rides planned for tmr and wednesday....
