  8. I must say, my training could be better...but not sure how do handle the whole "winter training thing" being my FIRST year of cycling and LOVING it...!!!! Hope to still do it when I'm 80 ...so I'm not sure how the "JOCK" will treat me this year will just have to see...LOL Well "I HOPE WE GET THOSE FLEECE JACKETS"...LOVE to wear the shirts and kit from the others done over the last few months...94.7, Argus 2012, Fast One...so JOCK will be an AWESOME "edition" to my cycling T-shirts and KIT!!! Makes you PROUD to wear the KIT from something you've done and accomplished B) Good luck with JOCK (and especially STAGE 3 ) --- will see how we handle them apples...ha ha ha...if all goes well...will see you at the Price giving with my medal around my neck...LOL...as long as I finsh, I'm happy!!!! Not going for time ***PS - is dit Gerhard Cruywagen???
  9. Cool B) can't wait...very excited to go and get my ass kicked by the +2000m climb over Boulders, etc. ...see you there...LOL!!!
  10. Will have faith...thanx Li good luck with your first JOCK too!!! I'll be at the back...please take a rope with...I will need some help on the hills LOL!!!
  11. It's my first time at JOCK and staying at my sister and "swaer" in Nelspruit...sorry can't help you there. But, I'm sure there are many places to stay...maybe Google Barberton or Nelspruit Accommodation (or something similar)? As far as I know there are many B&B, Lodges, etc. in that area...depends on what your needs are Or start a topic on this issue on THE HUB?? I am sure many other guys would also like to have an idea of where to stay...AND ALSO where NOT to stay!!! Best of luck...should be an awesome race...only 24 days to go
  12. I agree with you Li Mu Bai!!! And like Doris said...also to do ALL 3 stages - hopefully we will not be misled...!!!
  13. WOW...really???? I will keep that in mind...he he he...and try to keep some legs (and some GU / Vooma...he he he) for the last stage - I have seen the profile and it's "almost" all the way uphill ...we did the Kremetart on 9th June (after stage 1 and 2 we almost gave up, because of the HELL of a wind we had...eish - but I must say we really enjoyed stage 3 and 4 )...I was not sure if we should even TRY The Jock...but at the end said "let's do it" "mad" as we are...I hope and pray we succeed...LOL - did not want to wait another year to think about Jock 2013...ha ha ha. Cool...see you there...I just hope it's a nice bunch of folk at the back...because you need some inspiration and words of encouragement from the rest of the cyclist otherwise it's gonna be a "NO FINISH"...but every meter is closer to the finish than the meter Keep well...be safe...and thanx again for the reply...It makes me feel better
  14. Thanx for the reply Doris...will check when we collect our Race Packs at Cycle Lab on the 19th... Can't wait... Gonna be a tough Race (my first Jock)...but looking forward to it...starting at the back of the feild
  15. Does anybody know, or can anybody confirm if there will be a "JOCK" Fleece jacket included in the price of the 3-stage entry fee for this year's JOCK race?? In the "More Information.pdf" they mention this, but when you ask the people at Cycle Events, some say yes and the other say no...or just don't know E-mails have been sent to them to confirm if this will be included (as per the information .pdf file), but with no luck yet!!! Please see below the "copy" (and file attached) of what they claim to be included in the Entry fee...if someone can confirm or deny this for us PLEASE??? And if so, will they be included in the Goody Bags, or at the end of the Race?? If NOT, please take it of the "Information.pdf" file, as you will have MANY angry riders who read this and will ask "WHY NOT"!!! What your 3-stage entry includes: Breakfast in Nelspruit after the 1st stage Lunch in Kaapmuiden after the 2nd stage Free long sleeved special edition Jock T-shirt Free Jock Fleece Jacket Goody bags with nutritional supplements and other rider aids Some of the best waterpoints and local hospitality you’ll ever experience Well marshaled roads Excellent race control Great camaraderie!
