  1. Hi guys, im in desperate need of a new bike rack, so am looking for some suggestions as to what to get? wheres better - towbar or roof? tryna look at it from all angles - whats good for the bike, whats good for the car, whats good for my wallet ( for the racks and petrol afterwards!) any advice would be awesome...
  2. thats seems to sort of agree with what i was thinking...sort of the 1.78 to 1.85 range....
  3. i'm going to ask what may seem to be a very stupid question...but please bear with me what sort of stature range could be expected tp be comfortable on a size 53 frame? i know there are other factors involved....just looking for approximate.....
  4. mr brother in the uk tells me the commentators there are under the impression that there is only one african in the race - Robbie. froome is considered british, as is barloworld. when someone emailed them to tell them that there are in fact three africans, even though froome is on a british license, and barloworld is uk registered but sa sponsored they said that its a load of ****. They say froome is british thru and thru, and RH is barloworlds only contact to africa or SA
  5. Is that Shane Schonegeval? Yes sir! I phoned them the afternoon at 2 and got my pair the next morning at 9 in Pretoria. I received a shirt from them as well. Now THAT is one of the best things I got EVER! I helps keeping the wind out in the winter months. It helps with recovery and controls temperature. anyone have contact details/ prices etc?
  6. but success can still be measured in terms of where they get to.... ie robbie is an incredibly well known rider respected by his peers in the peloton... JL still needs to get there that said...success breeds success.... so JL doing so well in this tour is setting him for bigger things
  7. we say that JL is no andy schleck or riccardo ricco - he doesnt need to be to be one of the best. these guys are future winners...but not everyone can be. look at jens voigt, no tour wins, but he's still seen as one of the greatest champions the sport has ever seen. my feelings - JL, looked after properly, will go further than anyone thinks he can, and a lot further than Robbie Keep up the good work JL!!!!Rhodent2008-07-14 13:13:39
  8. Christie : why so? no improvements? Rocket came back to me....350 for leggings, only problem is they're in cape town...

i've never ridden on rollers...only an indoor trainer. how comparable are they? excuse the ignorance....always been keen on rolllers
  13. k i know i'm new here but i really think we're spending our energy in the wrong place... i appreciate what cliff is doing is completely unacceptable, and it irritates the hell out of me as well, but the fact is he just represents the ignorance of a broader bunch of people! surely our time and effort would be better spent trying to raise awareness for our cause.... awareness is so much more effective than retaliation. the current brand house adverts regarding drinking and driving ( very graphic ones on tv, where the viewer sees the crashes from drivers perspective) spring to mind as very striking. surely something like that, and radio adverts and newspaper adverts would be much more worthwile? why spend our time fighting the medias ignorance when we can rather use it to benefit us....
