  1. Epic is described by Suaser as I heard from other swiss riders as n nice social ride with good food
  2. XCO is really hard was. Looking at some of the races when I was a junior in 2001, average HOUR 188, 182, 190 and that for 2 hours. The courses has changed being a lot more technical and more man made. But they are also a lot harder. The XCO. Of the. Elite men was 6 laps, 34km but with a 1260m ascent that is hectic
  3. At Contermans and through a telescope in sutherland
  4. My new ride, hitting jonkers tomorrow, theis includes hope hubs with crest 650 rims and race face next 720 flatbar.
  5. What is the battery life like on them, I am also considering one of these
  6. The same, worked for the importers. Never left though just started to do what I studied and getting back on the bike again. . And it is a rocky of course. If could afford it I wouldn't mind the pyga 650 onetwenty great reviews.
  7. Bike only said Open on top tube, plastic as far as I could tell. I had to open it a lot with all the mud to change cables.
  8. Off topic but we did back up for the assos team at the epic one of the riders was Zoetemelk's son.
  9. Have you taken a look at the rocky mountain Altitude? 650 is more fun for trail
  10. Rocky mountain element, better carbon is used, brilliant bushes. Pyga is also great although mud gets stuck in the frame spaces.
  11. Nice meeting you guys today!
  12. Johan Bornman of yellowsaddle has been the Marzocchi agent for a while, or at least the service centre. Marzocchi's has great seals. Dust wiper and oilseal where fox and rockshx has one combined (unless they changed I or you have enduro seals installed)
  13. Marzocchi makes awesome forks< still enjoying my 2007 Marathon SL, I also have a (basically new) 2002 Marathon s fork. The s weughs in @ 1.5kg with 80cc of oil in each leg. Marzocchi in Sa has had a difficult time and changed importers quite a few times. the seconfd Difficult part for them was that in a mainly XC based market their works were and might still be heavier than most of the other fork brands and pricey. eben their downhill fork were considdered to heavy compared to fox and rockshox boxxer. In 2008 Marzocchi moved their manufactuering from Italy to Taiwan. . . which caused a lot. . and I do mean A lot of reliablity problems that took a while to get sorted out and the same problems recurring. which at the time gave them a bad name in their xc fork market. But anyone in cycle industry will tell you you need decent backup (service nd finacial) to make a brand work and only through trail and error and time is this achieved. Marzocchi still remains one of my favourite fork brands and hhave been on marzocchi forks from 2003
  14. The shoes are for my girlfriend that just bought a bike, I am supplying the shoes. Tried on the first ascent ones but so far the maxed were more comfortable. Still looking though. I have used answer, adidas and northwave( my favourite). Saw these, they didn't look to bad and was wondering. Thanks for the feedback " American components, Russian components. . All made in taiwan!"
  15. Any one using these shoes? they are so cheap compared to the other shoes out there it almost scares me in to not buying them, but are they really that cheap and Nasty? I would appreciate some feedback from riders that have actually used them/

  20. Anyone ever read the the book breaking the chain by Willy Voet. Changed the way I looked at cycling. I believe if Lance is ever found Guilty it would be close to a miracle. The finacial implications and damage it can do to the sport is too big.
