Well, glad to report that all went well yesterday on my way home. Only problem that I had was with motorists not using indicators when turning. Must say, it's a great feeling swooshing past all the vehicles standing in a looooong queue waiting for the light to turn green!! No wonder it takes me under 10 minutes longer by bike than by car to get to work! Bateleur, do you travel down in Pretoriusstreet?

In the beginning it was frightening. Seems like the motorists were more considerate this morning, makes it a lot easier. Will see how it goes on my way home this afternoon.

In the city centre of Pretoria. Quite hectic to navigate peak traffic, especially in Hamilton and then in Pretorius streets.

With the start of Spring, I thought it a good time to start commuting to work this morning. Surprised to see no other cyclists on the road, except for the occassional "dikwiel". Will do a longer route in the afternoon to get more training miles in.

Do you honestly believe that? They asked that question when I entered last year for the 2006 Argus and if you look closely, you do not need to answer if you don't want to, which I didn't. I believe it is merely for statistics and nothing else.
