G'day Folks, This has been breaking my brain the last few days.. It's time for a (serious) upgrade, and I can't decide between the race-pace, harder-on-the-arse Epic, or the "I don't climb so well but you should see me on the downhill" Stumpy.. I have ridden the Epic 29er, but have only heard claims about the Stumpy. Anyone care to share some thoughts? I mostly ride Gauteng, Groenkloof-ish rockies and marathon races and am quite good on the technicals, also bit of a bigger bloke @90kgs. (Scared of hurting the big wheels) Any opinions/advice/comments welcome..

I have yet to experience a tragedy such as this in my life. After an awesome ride I leave my bike outside against the wall intending to wash her after breakfast.. and then it happened.. I heard her fall and rushed outside only to find that my dearest mother had knocked over and then reversed over my bike with her friggin bigarse 4x4!!! NOT COOL!!! Instead of stopping when she heard the bike fall, she decided to hope for the best and put foot! There goes the new deraileur and needless to say my back wheel is now an ornament. Hope the frame didn't bend but anyway,, Heres the deraileur she broke off the dropout and snapped in half! good job! And thats why women shouldn't drive.. gaawsh..

Hi, so after my inconclusive internet search I might aswell ask the hubbers. Which chainguide works with which type of BB? I have an internal BB longing for a chainguide, and as far as I know you can put an ISCG adapter as a spacer on external BBs, but what about the internal ones? And what exactly is ISIS drive or whatwhat? I know im missing something really obvious, care to help?
