  1. thing is I phoned the workshop to ask advice ( before I knew the bolts were loose) and they said it could be many different things .well the bike were in the shop last week you mean I have to bring it back again.I like to ride my bike not take it to the shop every week to get fixed and ride it on weekends. I did not even think to check the caliper ( that it might be loose) because it just came back from the shop. I mean so I they work on your bike fix the brakes and the only two bolts that need to be fastened is left loose is that neglegence , lack of interrest or what ..................... Thats is the reason why I come on the forums and ask how to do things because only me will look after my bike they way it shoudl be done before I took the bike in the get bleeding done on the brakes I asked on the forums first and it seemed like a difficult thing to do so I finally decided to take it to the shop the more I can do myself the better . Maybe thats why you cannot see the workshop
  2. I have not yet checked but will report back to confirm but I strongly suspect its the case I never had the issue only when the bike was returned from the shop now that I think about it will post once tested to confirm though
  3. got it set on the "free stroke" setting so its all good thanks still peed off about the two bolts they did not fasten ...........SORRY I WONT GO BACK THERE EVER
  4. Shimano XT
  5. Ok so I took of the front wheel to check everything and then realise that the hole brake caliper is lose ( just came back from my LBS) they had to bleed the brakes and open them after I closed them when the wheel was off . So they never tightened the claiper bolts I opened the brake pads thinking that the pads maybe need a little space ( this is when I realised the caliper is loose) I opend the brake pads a little and now the lever pulls in almost all the way to the bar. So I think I have solved one problem but created another. I only opened the pads a little the lever should not give way that much .Its like it needs bleeding again , but no fluid came out A bit upset that the LBS did not do the work properly ( I trust them with my bike and they cant even fasten two bolts after working on the bike)
  6. I hear u I actualluly just mailed them to ask what it might be
  7. well thats the thing for the money I paid for the bike my feeling is I should not " have to live with it" I want it fixed or give me one that does not vibrate If I wanted a vibrator I would have bought one ( much cheaper I might add) so I am awating the shops feedback since yesterday ( its been very quiet) but lets see how this pans out.
  8. I have checked the front rotar is not 100% straight its got a small buckle in it probably 1mm I guess that coudl be it

  14. Interresting did not think of that , but if feels more like it comes from the back.If it is the headset would I not first feel it in the handlebar or at least more in the handlebar rather then the frame?
  15. I checked a few forums/websites and the indication is the disc rotar , but its not when I brake that this happen only riding at a certain speed peddeling or freewheeling that I feel the vibration could it possibly be the dics rotar that touches the brakes at a certain speed that causes the vibration ( possibly open the brakes a little) or can it be the hubs ( not so sure this is the problem , but looking at all the possibilities)
  16. I have a carbon 29er and when cycling at a certain speed there is a vibration that I can feel that comes through the frame. Its not the crank because at a certain speed when I free the bike I can also feel the vibration . I am not sure what it is but its irritating and should not be like that what can it possibly be? All my wheels are tight ( front through axle and back drop out )
