Saw on at Van Gaalens on Saturday they are very nice looing bike

I think in terms of application the scott is a trail bike out and out not for racing as such . If you looking for something to race with liek for stage races and long marathon rides this bike will not be suitable. I know the launch of the silverback bikes are this weekend so pricing and details should be out soon. This is a awsome looking bike though live it

I have both . Love them both . 29 is faster on the same laps compared to my 26 er ( but then that might be the 3 kg wieght difference not the wheel size but nothing ride like the 26 er on tehcnicals love them both next getting a 27 and a half DS :clap: :clap:

the weather really played along well all thunder untill 5 minutes before the race it stopped and was gone. Lots of mud what MTB is all about the markings could have been a little better specially if its a long downhille and a sudden turn just close the road ahead with a ribbon or something visual .Flip when your flying down a hill you dont want to stop or turn great fun loved it though

is it best to get a bleed kit ( XT ) I understand there are different ones with different fluids ? And brake block ? Best place to get it JHB/Centurion ?

I have two questions I took of my wheel and the brake pushed close so the brakepads were to close to get the wheel in .I seperated it with soemthing flat just a little but they are not as open as they were inititaly can I just open them more ? I also accidiently opened the bleeding screw at the brake itself and a little fluid came out so now when I pull the lever it only cathces at the bottom when I apply the brakes. Will I have to bleed the system or add fluid to correct it?

would the frame not damage easliy if not tight and it starts to move/slide around in the clamp will have to look at the new Thule one that does not clamp onto the frame

I have a Thule rack on top of my car and the arm holds onto the frame . I now have a carbob bike and wondering weather it is the best idea to have something holding on to the carbon frame that apply forces to it ? Will it damage ( crack the frame ) possibly? Do I just add some sort of protection where it clamps onto tthe frame ?

Loving my bike my av speed went from 21/22 kmh to 25/26 the bike is light very responsive and solid . had to tweak the fork a little and takign it for its first race this weekend and Van Gaalens will see what it does.
