  1. I have one. Had great service from Lyne and for the price there is nothing close. Coming from a Reverb I thought it would be a downgrade, but to be honest I can't feel a difference. Sent from my SM-N910H using Tapatalk
  2. I saw that OneUp is working on a 10-45 11speed cassette that FITS the standard freehub. Thats something I would consider with a XT build instead of the XT cassette. Depends on pricing. Here is the link: http://m.pinkbike.com/news/spotted-oneup-prototypes-crankworx-whistler-2015.html
  3. No manufacturer has ever had a 100% success rate with frames. Telling everyone that Intense and carbon frames are a no no is a useless comment. Same could be said for the Specialized enduro in this article: http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/cracked-2012-s-works-enduro-frame Yes I have had some issues, one was me hitting the swing arm on a rock and cracking the carbon. I've had to spend some money on the pivots and servicing bearings and stuff. Bikes like the sworks, Tracer Factory build ext are built with the lightest components around-made to last one season. If you want a bike that is idiot proof, buy a mid range bike with an aluminium frame. Its like having R150k to spend on a car-yes you can buy a new VW Up or you can buy an Audi A4. Obviously everyone wants the Audi, but be prepared to pay if something goes wrong!
  4. One of the reasons that guys bike broke is him not servicing the pivot bearings. Intense has a big following in the US and Canada and no other real issues to report of? Tracers are built for enduro and thus a stronger bike-the bike above is a tracer. Carbine is a trail bike-very capable trail bike. Die ou het dit net deur sy gat getrek.
  5. Its worth it to have a look at the MRP Stage. Awesome fork and has a 200hour service interval. Contact BIBI on thehub he's the agent
  6. Same reasoning I had. Tried the pike and it was good, but it was missing something! The moment I hit the trail with the stage i knew I made the right choice. And its not like every rider you pass will have a stage
  7. I'm the guy with the Intense... [emoji6] I've had the fork for some time now (since sept) and 95% of the time was spent in Jonkers! I've had absolutely no problems so far and actually due for a service[emoji6] But keep in mind the 200 hour service intervals! The ramp control puts the fork in a different class but it does take some time to find the sweet spot! The 34mm stanchions are more than stiff enough and even though the fork weights a bit more that the Pike, it makes up with the service intervals. The fork is super smooth from the start and takes the big hits really good. It definitely saved me from some OTB action! Maybe ask Muzzarati for an unbiased opinion as he had a run in jonkers with my bike. If you want I will be back in Jonkers end of Jan if you want to test it out. PM me if you have any other questions! Pic of the MRP on my bike
  8. Will you guys be at Steilte tomorrow? What will the cost be for the shuttle day?
  9. My setup- 11-36 with XT shadow+ rear derailleur, race face NW 32t front ring. Got the Cguide chain guide just to keep the chain from slamming the chainstay. Hoping to get a OneUp 42t and rad cage in the next few months. Will allow me to go 34 in the front.
  10. Check out www.pricepoint.com. they had some good deals on Intense bikes last week.
  11. Unfortunately the DHR II is also lacking in sidewall department. I even get that same feeling in the front, especially coming down on off camper sections with roots. It just gets scary sometimes! Look there is no perfect tire and everyone has their own preferences of how a tire must perform...
  12. But when choosing a tire isn't it important to look at all the aspects-not just grip? No use in having a tire that rails down the track but is an anchor on the way up and needs replacing every few months. Just adding my experience I had with the Trailstar version
  13. Does someone want to make a group order from overseas? Looking at www.bike-discount.com their prices are not bad at all and if shipping is shared you will be able to come in under R600 per tire? What taxes will be applicable? Just VAT or more? On a side note, had a Magic Mary and not impressed. Side knobs tore in 2 months of riding jonkers and surrounding areas. On a Minion DHR II on the front (yes front) and love it. Granted when the trail is wet its useless, but I tend to stay indoors then.
  14. Anyone looking for a Pyga Onetwenty 650b frame? I know a non hubber looking to sell. Medium frame. Pm me
  15. Also waiting for a parcel from Canada. Used Canada post and the tracking details shows this: Location : ZACPTD,South Africa Description : Item has arrived in foreign country 4311 But its been like this from the 14th of September. They use Sapo when the package gets here. Can I go collect it somewhere?
