  1. I never did trackdays, never had the opportunity, wish I did. I had to get my kicks on Du Toitskloof and Franschhoek pass. but yes, I concur with your sentiment! balls, not tennis balls, beach balls, thats how big...
  2. IoM TT, nuff said... watch that doccie on youtube if you havent, TT3 Closer to the Edge... OMG... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihH5uDUaqRE
  3. Oh aI agree 100% with everything you said! MotoGP, the flag drops, the fastest/smartest guy wins, end of conversation. [i am a KTM supporter since the Kawas quit and Rossi lost his balls. cant stand MM93 or JL99, I dont mind the Dukes, fascinating how not everyone can get the best out of them - but i digress...] Pure driving = WRC... those guys are NEXT LEVEL...
  4. ja the Canadian GP is always exciting to watch, because of turn 1 and also the long straights with the extremely hard braking zones, more often than not resulting in brake failure. how was that Mclaren that retired because the suspension melted under the heat generated from the brakes (i think thats what happened?)... thats nuts! and Magnussen being told off by is team boss for complaining like a little "beach" - I dont blame his boss for doing that! but thats exactly what annoys most people i reckon, too many little girls complaining about nonsense. shut up and get on with racing already!
  5. yes, i dont understand why there has to be 1 tyre supplier. is the point of F1/MotoGP not to be the pinnacle of motorsport? why let that be influenced by a tyre that appears as if it was developed to suit 1 team only. yes it may be a cost saving measure, but we are talking about F1 here, not the Killarney Cup.
  6. bring back multiple tyre suppliers - just make sure we dont get a repeat of 2005 (?) US Grand Prix with only 6 cars on the starting grid...
  7. what annoys me most is LH44's hypocrisy. and the fact that it appears that whenever there is a 50/50 decision where LH44 is involved, it tends to go his way. I too am not a huge Seb fan, I reluctantly cheer him on because I am a Ferrari fan. He has folded under the pressure for the last 2 years, and clearly cannot live up to the standard set by Mr Schumacher. What also irks me is that LH44 goes onto social media and whatnot saying he wishes for tougher/harder racing like the old days, and then when there's a 50/50 call racing incident as we've seen, he complains about it. I will say this: if he went on to overtake Seb on the track, which seemed like it was possible, the entire situation would have been different and I for one would not be on here hating on him, in fact he would have earned HUGE respect from most F1 supporters, including people like myself who generally cant stand the guy.
  8. ah, humble apologies, i thought you were referring to the hypocrite with the cornrows.
  9. they are all proper knobs, the biggest one is driving car number 44.
  10. a lesser driver wouldnt complain on the radio and then suck up on the podium by pulling the actual race winner onto the top step. what a joke.
  11. Hows that for being hypocrites: Lewis complains on the radio to Totto about Seb's rejoining of the circuit, but then he wants to pull Seb up onto the 1st position on the podium. Totto and Lewis are proper boxes, and that smug look on TW's face when the race ended said it all. the FIA is to Mercedes what the ICC is to the Indian Cricket Team. how in the hell can the entire commentary team, most of whom are ex world class F1 pilots, agree that it should not be a penalty, and then the race director issues a 5s penalty??? Not the biggest Seb fan, but that was ridiculous. cant wait till we have a Schumacher back in the Red Car, get some class back in the sport.
  12. Like i predicted, its probably going to come down to us vs the Woodworkers in Manchester. And then its probably 1999 all over again. ????
  13. Football? Lots of passion there? ????
  14. Look at the crowds at the TdF? No problems there? Because they have Passion ♥️
  15. In a world where people date online, Passion is completely lost. Swipe left, swipe right... easy peasy
  16. Its called Passion.
  17. Rabada is class and he is the one shining light in our otherwise bleak looking cricket future. If we can get Ngidi fit and injury free, we will have 2 decent bowlers. But KG is just pure world class. All your other comments are valid. I stopped playing when the youngsters that came into the cloakroom didnt have the respect for our senior guys and it was being accepted because if you dealt with it, the club management would give you all sorts of hell because little Johnny’s mom is upset that he was treated in a manner that she disapproves of. Thats where the rot started for me. No respect for the senior statesmen. And then you have boys who’s parents make a big scene when he gets dropped and they take him to another club etc etc. this nonsense started happening at club level, then i knew it was time. Man, thinking back now, theres no ways in hell id ever tjoon Big Mac, Hassan Pangarker or Lloyd Ferreira when i was a youngster playing against these okes. No ways in hell! Id be bliksemed so hard...
  18. You are partially correct; given the circumstances Faf finds himself in, he has no option but to bowl first and hope to restrict the opposition to a below par score, in other words he knows the batting is frail and that the bowling department is probably our best weapon at the moment. We should have batted first agains Bangladesh, that was such a poor decision. And i reckon we also should have batted against the Poms just to get ourselves into the WC, although they are in form and it probably wouldnt have made any difference. Having said that, if we had our guys in form (or if the selector would just do the right thing and select guys in form and not on emotions going to the WC) then i still go with win the toss and bat. Scoreboard pressure is something you have to use to your advantage whenever you can. I can see it now, we will probably play out of our socks from here on and end up with an outside chance of qualifying by the time our last game against the Aussies comes around. And guess what happens then...
  19. In my opinion you touched on the root of the problem: the standard of cricket at our domestic level is not acceptable, and we can now finally see the fruits of CSA’s labours. Ive said this before as well, club cricket 20 years ago was probably stronger than the current provincial/franchise setup. Guys scoring 700runs a season is now considered as having a good season. My god man, Cullinan and the likes scored 1200 runs in a bad season going back 30 years. My post quoting Mr Joffe’s writings is very significant too. Long read but worth it. I feel sad that we are in a position where we probably wont even make the top 5. I feel sad that we are having to debate the once mighty Proteas’ lack of quality and performance. The sport i grew up with and have dedicated 30years of my life to, is dying a painfully slow death. Its like watching your dog die, it sucks donkey balls!
  20. again, a sample set of whatever backs your argument will always be fine... for you.
  21. or yours. having played 2 seasons of premier league cricket in the UK, it was evident that the sides bowling first were 9 times out of 10 the ones with a weak batting line up. have a nice night pro.
  22. its convenient to backup your opinion with restricted factual criteria, like the last 4 years only... wikipedia says since the advent of limited overs cricket, the side winning the toss and batting first has won 49% of the time, while the side batting second has won 47% of the time. statistically that is irrefutable, and the former is clearly the safer option. anyone with half a braincell can see that, and would be wise to follow suit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toss_(cricket)#Influence_of_toss_on_outcome
  23. you jinxed it
  24. whether you play cricket in 1819, 1919 or 2019, the side with the most runs win. runs on the scoreboard. you can apply pressure with a good score, that says it all.
  25. backup? to whom? hahahaha....
