Dont see Wellgo coming up here. I have been riding with them on both my bikes for a number of years without a hitch...and if you are concerned about weight they are at least 10% lighter than the SPD's. Clipping in and out is a breeze and they shed mud exceptionally well.

It would be OK if they were "chickens", but they are more like "pigeons". Where do they find such small "chickens" ??

I have been using a BuzzRack (3 bike) platform for a year or so now and find it great. Can take 3 x 29er's, with a bit of adjustment and lowering saddles and I dont get the scratches, frame damage etc that I previously experienced with the hanging rack. It has a fair range of adjustments to accommodate bikes of different sizes. Using it on a SUV and the tilt action is simple and tilts far enough to open the back door, with bikes on. Platform is the way to go.

I also had a freak accident in August, and hit the ground head first at about 40 km/h...saved by my Giro. I just cannot comprehend people riding without helmets, no matter how short or basic your ride might be.......you just never know when it might be your turn to take a tumble.

Try CWC, less than any of the LBS's even after factoring in the freight costs. Such a pity that our LBS's are not more competitively priced.

I am currently recovering from a fall off my mountain bike during a little evening ride with my kids. I apparently hit the tar (yes I know...what was I doing on the black stuff !!!) at around 40km/h, head first.......I would probably not be responding to this thread if I was not wearing a decent helmet. I am still amazed at how blase people are about riding without helmets, when the risk is so great.....what are they trying to prove ???
