  1. Go to the bike shop there, Knysna cycleworks, they have a great booklet of well known trails, then there is also a couple of AWESOME trails that aren't legal to ride, but are tons of fun. Sorry cant help with a website, but you must go do the Harkerville red route, awesome views(you ride for a while, climbing through the forest and then come upto this picnic table where you suddenly pop out and realize you on the top of a cliff!, awesome views and ride)
  2. One of many issues with that is I don't have a welder ....
  3. Hi Hubbers, Sorry about the title, just needed to get everyone's attention. Really want one of these Niner YAWYD (You are what you drink) top caps. Anyone know where to get them or has an old one to sell? Cheers

  6. Giants aren't advertised... Found through a PM, they have crossmarks on them. Both sets I can get for R1300.
  7. Also needs to be QR or QR convertible.
  8. Hi Hubbers, Looking for a set of second hand wheels here on the hub and have found two decent pairs for my SS build. Needs to be 29er, and just asking which is a better option. Option 1: giant pxc-2 Option 2: Titan TRC wheels (off the Titan elite) Any thoughts? Also open to anything else possibly better at the R1300 price mark, so if anyone has pm me please. Thanks Very Much, Sam
  9. Thanks for the replies, I manged to get it off in a sandblasting box at a mates factory. Using extremely fine iron filings, comes off easily and pretty easy to do. Result is very nice, takes a bit of time to get all of it off, but the end result is well worth it. I prefer this method, to chemically stripping as the chemicals of too strong will go too deep and penetrate the metal, sometimes messing with your primer. i'll post my pic, looks great, but a little bit rough in places, just needs to be wet sanded with 220grit, (done it in a couple places and finish is so smooth).
  10. *Where cant you ride a mtb? Happy Riding!
  11. Thanks, Wanting to do cool colours, anyone know where to print giant frame decals to go under the clear coat or is it better to do a reverse stesil, or base coat the colour of the word and stick down a decal and paint and peel?
  12. Looking for a professional and durable finish as this is for a SS mtb, will need to clear coat to protect paint job afterwards aswell.
  13. Hi, Doing a SS build and wondering if anyone knows anything about respraying with regards to type of paint? I believe most frames are powder coated out of the factory but resprayed with enamel based paints when refurbed??? Which brings me to question 2, I have a family member with a sand blasting box and he believes the best way to remove powder coating is sandblasting with iron filings, is this harmful, will it work, and any other ,better ways? This will be my first SS build as well as respray and just wondering if anyone has any tips with regards to respray as to whether I should strip the frame and powder coat again or do a respray with spray gun? Have the tools, need the advice. Cheers Sam
  14. Is there noticeable difference performance wise between SS specific cranks and triples? Anyone know prices on race face cranks, can't find them on Hulabaloo.

  17. Looking for a raceface crank or any other Single speed crank, second hand. Are the raceface cranks only in the country through people bringing them in or is there an African dealer? Any other crank suggestions? Am I on the right track, crank wise? Thanks very much! Cheers
  18. Where is everyone getting the Raceface single cranks from? Prices? Also looking for a tensioner, I know someone going to the UK, is CRC the best route? New to SS and right now my build is sitting in parts ????
