  1. Hey Guys! I haven't been on here in years and I've now got a Chinese Carbon hardtail 29er frame that I'm lookimg to respray quite simply (gloss black) to build. Who in CT can do this well, cost effectively and fast? Cant wait to have this ready to roll and hit the trails again. Cheers Sam
  2. Sweet! Once of deal or is there a particular seller to look at?
  3. Yeah, actually go for it with the screwdriver, missed the cut out.
  4. Its called a crown race, rather get a new one from your LBS, too much hassle to remove them without damaging them. Unless you or your LBS have a tool called a crown race puller.
  5. This thread feels like explaining emotions to Sheldon Cooper... Troll off

  9. Hi Guys, Looking For a Cheapish Road SS for my Brother who is a student in Stellenbosch. Haven't found anything on the classifieds... He has about R2000 to spend. Anyone looking to sell anything? I would build one up, but due to him coming home to JHB in 2 weeks and wanting to have a bike when he is back down there, I don't have time to get everything... Cheers Sam
  10. That is one super HOT colour!
  11. Sometimes manufacturers try to cut costs or are very lazy when they build bikes, for example I have seen a lot of the Specialized BB30s ship new from the factory without so much as the trace of grease on the outer race nor in the frame. And subsequently started creaking from slight tolerance issues. Try re-grease and reinstall first, I wouldn't want CAP that close to my expensive bearings and their seals....
  12. Please send me the DXF! I got one of your okes in trouble with my last order... Bosses were nooot happy at all.would like to avoid getting him stuck in any further....
  13. Have a look at the particular place where the rotor is rubbing, top of caliper? Left? Right? It could be you need to space the caliper further away from the disc, if the rotor is too large. Also look if the rotor is out of true.
  14. Chat to the guys at Herbet Evans (not the art shop, the paint and equipment supplier) They sell all kinds of guns, you may want to ask them what they recommend, but it is worth buying a decent gun and decent paint (2k ,or base coats with a 2k clear) as this is what counts for the quality of finish you can get. Call Joes automotive and truck paints if your are in JHB. Gun wise, buy the best gravity feed touch up gun you can. A 50l compressor is the perfect size for bike frames, I spray at 3,5 bar.
