Need some help ASAP please. I've istalled a new stem, but now there seems to be some "play" between my fork and my frame (in the headset). Well that's how it feels if I pull the front brake. How do I get rid of this?

Mampara, TX for the info. Also how do I determine the correct lenght? I also have a couple of spacers between my headset & stem (about 4 cm). How high should the stem be? Or is it personal preference?

How do I determine which length stem to buy, as well as the degrees? I currently have a stock Raleigh stem on my RM 7.0, and I want to upgrade to a Thompson Elite X4, but you only get them in 0 and 10 degrees.

Johan Tx for the reply. What UST rims do you suggest for the XT hubs? Or should I go tubeless (that's another question)?

One question not to highjack the tread.... Do you buy XT rims separate? I've got brand new XT hubs. Also does DT make UST (tubeless) rims, or any other company that make UST rims that you can buy without hubs (as wheel sets)? TX!

Dirt-Rider... In your opinion is the Shimano M525's "good" enough? My current setup is M525's & WTB Speed Disc's. IMO it's bottom of the range on weight & quality. It was good enough to start of with...but I want to upgrade.

I want to build a new wheelset, thats better quality than I currently have. Need new rims too. Will start with the hubs....

Need advice on Hope MTB hubs. I'm planning on buying the Hope Pro 2 Disc Front & Hope Pro 2 Disc Rear. How do these Hope hubs compare to Shimano XT's? Any alternatives to go for? I'm currently using Shimano Deore M525's disc's front & rear. I need an upgrade!

Fellow Hubbers.... I've just browsed through the LED lights posts. Has anyone tried batteries & chargers from Radio Controlled Planes/Heli's for the projects? I can get a 2008 Raleigh RM 7.0 frame (large) for R 2200 from a friend. Brand new. My friend bought the bike for the components. Is it a good price....and is it a good frame. How strong is the rear carbon tail. Anybody with bad experiences with this frame. Raleigh told me only a 4 year warranty on this frame...should I read something in this? Regards.

Dirty Twin TX for the links awesome. Don't seem to get the kg's of the Sport....Lanza is 1.45kg frame only. Where can i get the kg's? Absalon rides an Orbea Alma (Carbon)...not Alu. Big difference! Also, how would an Orbea Sport compare to (my other choices): 1. Giant XTC 2. Felt Q920 3. Silverback Sierra 4. Scott Scale 60 5. Raleigh RM 5.0? Frame only comparison please (No components!).

What do you guys (or girls) think of Orbea MTB frames... I'm currently looking at the Orbea Lanza (about R 4200) or Orbea Sport ( about R 2600). Prices for frames only. Needs to be 20". What is the real benefit of 7005 Al tubing over 6061 Al tubing....besides weight. Any other hardtail frames in this price range for consideration? Maybe cheaper or better? Cheers
