  1. Mine was in my rear hub, we changed the rear wheel to a demo wheel and the sound was gone so the hub could also be the cause. My pedals also had a click on them but that got sorted with copper slip on the threads. Good luck.
  2. My new Bell Sequence helmet.
  3. Had a problem like yours, after everything was checked, stripped and rebuild it turned out to be the hub on the rear wheel that does that (in my case and on a MTB)
  4. Apparently the hub is fine so I am back to square one.
  5. I am reading now that it could be the rear hub, when it was new it was clicking very loudly and now its very quit when you are freewheeling. I will have the hun checked plus look at all the stuff you guys said. Thanks for the advise so far.
  6. Hi guys I need help with a noise on my bike, I have a XTC with Crossride wheels on and I have a click or cracking noise under breaking or hard pedaling coming from the back. If I get of and hold in the rear brake and force the bike forward and backwards the bike makes this noise to and it feels like its coming from the rear hub or brake or QR. Funny that I also have it when I pedal hard. I have taken everything apart already and the bike shop to but it keeps on coming back. Any ideas what I can do to solve this problem.
  7. The pads must be cleaned to.
  8. I would start with a disc and pad clean. My XT brakes are awesome but when I spill chain lube or something greasy on the back disc it does what yours does. Sand paper the pads and clean it all with thinners. To clear up the rotor rub loosen the caliper and spin the wheel, then pull the brake and while holding it in tighten the bolts on the caliper. This will sort rub on a straight disc.
  9. Also look at Esi Chunky grips that together with Serfas gloves from sportsmanwarehouse solved the problem for me. There is also a extra Chunky grip out which is a bit thicker. That should help a lot.
  10. I had the Syncros Carbon bar on my bike and Geco got me the matching stem. Now I am all AM, if you know what I mean. Its something small but I like the way it looks.
  11. I love this place, Hoogekraal on Sunday. Here is when the fun starts.
  12. Get Shimano M530 pedals, I switched to them and will never look back to a non trail pedal. It give much better power transfer.
  13. A Big big massive thank you to the two bikers who picked up my car keys on the Magic Forest route on Saturday and waited for me at my car to return them. It is a good story to tell my friends. You saved me in so many ways.
