  1. Correction: SCR 11min down. Horrible luck
  2. Spez finishes. Think they have a 4min lead over SRAM. SCR still more than 9min behind
  3. Not a stage for p#@ssies
  4. The last stage is not the easiest around with two hectic climbs. BUT to pull back more than 3min over 80km is tough as nails, unless there's puncture or mechanicals in play. All possible, but .... Weather tomorrow: dry, coolish and windy. Residual mud and puddles around for sure. So essentially anything possible
  5. It ain't over until the fat lady sings..... Advantage of the adverse weather: high drama in the race Negative: we don't get to see it
  6. Amy and Candice 20min down!!!
  7. SCR is behind 11:24 ( as just mentioned on stream). But I'm confident the boys will pull back time. They know how to ride high risk. VERY interesting at the top of the leader boards!! Amy and Candice still to get to tech zone! 5th team through 41km mark is already 12min down to Vera and Kim. Meaning there is a leader jersey change possible.
  8. At 54km point, Spez is leading SRAM by 3min. 3rd team (Cannondale VAS) 5:11 behind. Waiting on SCR.....
  9. "Outside" help only at tech zone. If they had a backup team (ladies don't have), then they could swop out a wheel
  10. High drama for both leading jersey's. SCR have huge mechanical. Derailleur broken. Luckily not far from tech zone and they managed to repair. Not sure how much time they lost. Candice and Amy also rear wheel issue. Amy has rim damage and not sealing. Losing big time.
  11. Yellow jersey already 2min down. Spez and SCR up the road
  12. SCR leading so comfortably, they even had time to take a dip
  13. What a fair sportsman N1no is. Gave credit to SCR and admitted he wasn't to strong today. Maybe "protecting" his partner? Seems Chris had another off-ish day after yesterday's barnstorming performance. Matt looked composed at finish. Last days set up incredibly. Think tomorrow will show if N1no can come back and attack SCR
  14. Yes, exactly my point. But that then also means they are writing off the yellow jersey
  15. With 10km to go, and after the last water point, it finally seems as if Scott and Specialized mens teams are cooperating and putting down the watts. Let's see if they can pull back some time
  16. Pussy company racing is just unbelievable. Taking 2minutes out of N1NO at yesterday's TT and now another close to 2min is just jaw dropping. What racing. Even Matt and Chris have no answer at the moment. Hats off Of course a team is only as good as the weakest rider, so think Andri is unfortunately that rider. Chris and Matt probably keeping it tactically clever without burning too many matches. Scott need to defend their yellow jersey's. On the women's side, Vera and Kim going great guns. Candice and Amy not as strong today (seems Amy is struggling a bit) but riding clever. Specialized ladies falling off the cliff
  17. Si, questo é vero
  18. Well, kudos again to SCR. They're at it again, flying down Grönlandberg and putting close to a minute into the rest of the field. Brave and crazy stuff
  19. What another on fire stage for the men. Great win by M&C. Tactically clever and all above board. Think emotions just got the better of Lucas there....they had an accumulation of little "problems" on the stage. Think we can take that outburst with a little pinch of salt. For now: go Candice and Amy! Another great ride and taking more time out the Spez team! 🔥👍
  20. And now the next production blooper: cutting away from the ladies last +-15km to show a "bike check" and advert for the Epic Series?? Granted, not much happening in the tactical ride, but that content can surely be shown before after the highlights reels.... No interviews showed as they had sound problems. They just started with Blevins/Matt but no sound. Very disappointing as I was keen to hear feedback. Hopefully we'll get them later

  22. Tough as nails. They make them mos toughererer in SA. But seriously, if that's a legit pic I saw, then that's crazy stuff. Not sure which pain meds strong enough she can take for tomorrow (Doc Wakefield?). I'm assuming she will definitely at least start in orange....and then see what happens. Think Candice can guide the team well to the finish, defend the amazing lead, as well as harness the huge inner strength of Amy. Holding thumbs for the pair.
  23. There we have the problem: you stopped surfing. Biggest mistake! 🧐
  24. Robbie, it's called the evolution of ageing (coming from a 53, ER sorry 35 year old! Lol). Without a doubt, the knowledge and experience of possible repercussions impact your riding, often in subtle ways. For me it's absolutely only a mental thing: if Greg can pin downhill at those speeds at his "age" (aside from training, skill, technique and talent), then we can all attain/keep our own unique speeds up. It's all about mental approach, assuming skill, training and physical form is still on same par as before. So for me, it just takes a small sandcorn moment of doubt, loss of positiveness or confidence, worrying about crashing etc, which will possibly have immediate or delayed consequences. Case in point is my own last ride down Cobra: I have been working with a lady friend who is prepping for Epic. She has progressed a lot but she fears that stony, jutted rock garden section and has fallen hard there. She walks it now. But having dealt with this situation with her a number of times, somehow planted a small seed with me. And promptly I had my very first small off there. It took just a small moment of hesitation and a fleeting thought of falling there......and presto. Anyway, that's what it seems it is to me. Aside from all technical (incl tyre pressures etc) and physical aspects being equal....which strictly speaking they never really are, but hopefully you get what I mean. Good luck with your journey and evolution 😁
  25. Pulled the trigger. Despite poor fitness and only about 3 rides this year, and too few last few months. But after watching the videos, the trails just look too awesome. Will slowly creep up the hills, then blast, hoot and holler the descents 👇👍 See you at the start line Milky. Try keep up lol
