Hi. Helping my brother comparing 29er MTB's around R15000. I've got a XTC, but Giant does not make them any more, only in carbon. We had a look at the Silverback Sola 1 and 2, Scott Aspect 910 and the Scott Scale. They are between R13000 and R16500. My brother is quite big, 1.9m and 105kg. Would appreciate some help, thanks.

First post. 53 Replies. Not bad. I've got a Giant XTC with awesome groupset. Bought a cheap road bike (R4000). Marin with 105 groupset. Want to do the Argus under 3 hours with this bike. Will see how it goes. Berge en Dale will be my first road race.

Wife and kids had a picnic next to the river while i did the blue route. 13.7km, climbed 256m, took around 40min at an easy pace. Wife did the green route after i got back. Great trails. Two laps will give you a good workout. Did the black piece. NICE.
