First post. 53 Replies. Not bad. I've got a Giant XTC with awesome groupset. Bought a cheap road bike (R4000). Marin with 105 groupset. Want to do the Argus under 3 hours with this bike. Will see how it goes. Berge en Dale will be my first road race.

I've upgraded from SLX to Elixir 9rs on my Giant XTC. Awesome brakes. Don't know the Elixir 7 though, but XT's are also awesome brakes. I would pay R800 more.

Will be there to test my new groupset. From 3x10 to 2x10.

I bought X9 shifters, X0 derailers, X0 carbon crank, cassette,chain and the avid brakes for a very good price. Came of an, almost new, Scott 29er after they upgraded to XX groupset.

Purchased a pair. I've read some negative and positive reviews. Feels great. How would you rate this brake system.

Will be there. Doing the 70 km. Wife and daughter the 15km.

Will be my first one. I was told that the three big climbs are Smitswinkel, Chappies and Suikerbossie. Does anyone know how long they are and at what gradient?
