Lols Yeah I see a bit of chaos has erupted this last hours or so Soo we thinking that negotiation around better share of the pie has taken place then. I don't think the new format of the CL is great, it's even more games than before and big clubs that don't automatically qualify still find a way to stay in the competition so it will end up being the Super League lite in any case. My question though.. If football is for the fans.. Will clubs drop ticket prices and merchandise prices.. .. Will players cut their wages and play for the love of the game and will clubs stop paying crazy amount of money for players.. Will UEFA actually make all the tickets (finals) available to fans and not keep 50% for corporates. And will UEFA give the clubs their fare share? Oooh forgot the big one.. Will broadcasting be free.. You know cause it's for the fans?

They said the same when hockey brought in rolling subs.. It changed the game for the better...of course the biggest change was ditching offside.. Man.. the game became so fast and lot more entertaining to watch... Then again hockey often changes things up to promote and improve the game. Why are football fans so scared of change.?

It's also important to note that they aren't trying to destroy the CL or Europa league but trying still participate in it along side the ESL. This is basically nations league for clubs.. Exactly.. They are talking big and threatening all sorts of thing but this that they are threatening maybe shows exactly why a club owned league is a better way forward? And let's not think for one moment UEFA (or FIFA) care about football or football fans they are getting their panties in a twist because they stand to lose a lot of money... that is all. Somewhere cycling teams are seeing amounts thrown around thinking.. Okes.. L'equipe: Negotiations between the 12 Super League clubs & UEFA started last year. , The 12 Super League didn't want to leave the CL initially, they wanted to reform it. Clubs wanted to manage money generated from TV rights & commercial/financial rights. UEFA said no. ESL is born

CL knockout stages has pretty much (not always obviously ) been the super league in any case.

A shite load.. And I don't think their other sponsors will run away either.. Brand's will continue to be linked with them... Much bigger share in revenue too.. The question though.. How many of the current CL sponsors will remain if this were to go ahead.

Some time ago I posted how it would work exactly (was a diagram of some sorts) but I am not sure if it still the same.. There is real incentive to get there IMO Would like to see a the final structure of it And all the various financial partners if it were to happen of course.
