  1. Any advice is also welcome, I am no expert But I woukd like to give it a go.
  2. Hi to all, I would like to see if I can write a small programme on excel that predicts an ftp value for a future time. But I need your help. I need 3-5 ftp values that you actually performed and the dates for them. Obviously there is a lot of variables in the equation so the data needs to be as consistent as possible meaning the amount of training you've done between them and the length of the tests as well as the preparation for the test. 1. I need at least 3 results from tests 2. A short summary of the average hrs/week during the gaps between dates 3. You don't have to provide dates. The amount of days between test is also fine 4. You don't need to provide ftp values it can be anything from 8min values -60min values. As long as the length of each test was the same. 5. You don't have to provide the length of each test. 6. You can reply to this thread or PM me. I will not make your public. And hopefully in the end I can get a formula that predicts your future ftp value.
  3. Nope if you want to feature in races you need to get down to 70kg and at least an FTP of 330 so that is a 20min power of 350+
  4. 20min power up to 308w and 4.1w/kg which I achieved during the virtual race on Tuesday. Was 3min late so had to chase hard. All the previous power numbers I gave was 20min and not FTP. Next goal is 20min power of 330w @ 74kg
  5. Hi sorry for stupid question, but I assume you are Jaco-c on Cycleops? Got my trainer last week and would like to join
  6. Would definitely recommend Jetblack. The hydrogel roller is extremely quite. (your drive train will make more noise than the trainer). Very robust too! Only downside is that it does not provide enough resistance for stronger riders doing intervals on them.(like most magnetic trainers)
  7. HI to all , I've had my Jetblack M1 trainer for a year now , but lately with an FTP of close to 300w I feel it doesn't provide enough resistance. I am looking at upgrading to a trainer with a exponential power curve and 400w resistance at 40km/h in the 2000-3000ZAR price range second hand. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
  8. Update:Did an FTP today my FTP/kg was 3.77w/kg And net power output was 287w Hoping to go to 4w/kg in the next 4 weeks.

  10. Same here, Riding a sub 11kg alu lefty. You can easily get one under 16k on the hub
  11. I paid 1600 for mine, got one because of my weak imune system. Got it 2 days before ride for sight and no problem so far even after a wet Sabie yesterday that would normally put me back a few days.
  12. Does anyone know at what Sas-index does the call out for the half stop?
  13. Rode Racing Juniors, and we started with elites. Did the first 45 km in 1h the next 45 km in 1h30 and the last 26 kays in a hour. The wind at the backside of Suikerbosrand killed me. Most of the Juniors got dropped as we turned towards Suikerbosrand at approximately 47km and rode mostly solo. Well done to Joshua who won in 3:01. The race was really well organised in my opinion.
  14. Start group &, and starting with elites so it will be a matter of holding on for as long as possible.
