Bizarre..advertised at R2950, goes up to R3863 when you need to select freehub and then another R420 for shipping. So thats around R4300 before VAT

My 2016 Anthem X Advanced creaks all the time, highly annoying! i seem to have an issue in the pivot above the BB keeps working its way loose and causes a bulk of the noise. Literally have to tighten it up every month or 2 Most of my previous bikes have been set and forget, not this one unfortunately

I hear you, the LBS told me i could probably ride them for a little bit but that i was taking a risk. At 105kg, i wasnt prepared to take a chance. I have no issues with guys selling wheels like ones you mentioned but a bit of open disclosure in the advert goes a long way so that guys know what they are buying. Personally, my conscience didnt allow me to on sell them so they were relegated to the cupboard and might be used on an indoor trainer...one day

i bought a bike from a fellow hubber, had it for 2 months in storage before i took it into the LBS to get it serviced before riding. I get told from the mechanic that the rear wheel has a few tiny micro fractures which is why they cant tension it correctly. I figured it was my bad for not seeing it at the time (albeit being very difficult to spot). Bought a set of new wheels and wrote it off as a learning experience. Unfortunately my experience of buying off the hub is that of a total lottery, i have also realized that one persons 'good condition' is my version of 'totally abused'. I wouldnt entertain that after 6 months if i was the original poster, having said that there are always 2 sides to the story (like mine)
