  13. Find a railway track, there’s access roads for security, maintenance etc running next to the tracks. go with a few riding partners so you not alone. We did Alberton to Vereeniging and back a few times last year training for C2T. And as Nerd says, lots of climbing on the way to tonteldoos.

  21. Come ride with the DOCs. They meet at Bells in Driving range early weekend mornings, different distances and speed groups. You will quickly fit in with a group that suits your riding. If you get a puncture and replace your Toob and throw your old toob in the bush you will quickly get told to go pick it up! Seriously they are a good bunch of helpful MTB people.
  22. Is your LBS helping you rebuild the fork? Because I have the same fork that might also need to be rebuilt. Is it not a case that the fork has to be sent to Dragon?
  23. I had the same experience. A group of us rode our MTBs through Walkerville one day during the holidays, saw this dude on the other side of the road followed a vehicle, he waved and greeted, we did the same only to notice then he was in full Orica kit, got home and checked his ride on Strava and it was Darryl. Cool guy!
