  1. Full wets with optional wheelnuts?
  2. How is he going to trust that car? Sueing people who have to prepare your 200mph race car. Would really not want to be him right now.
  3. Must admit, thats actually a nice looking Landy.
  4. Getting really excited now, just over one day till free practice Friday. And we just had DSTV installed at work before the cricket World Cup and Super Rugby season. I wont be very productive Friday, thats for sure.
  5. Thats what a Honda looks like. Parked on the grass.
  6. None of you guys are mentioning Riciardo? He pulled a rabbit last year, got a dq, but not his fault. It is his home race, and I rate him very highly.
  7. Looks like Justin Bieber. Geez that is awfull.
  8. He will have time for a haircut before the rest of the guys finish. Thats for sure. Expect Red Bull and Honda to be in better shape this weekend. 2014 all over again.
  9. They are quite strict, I went yesterday, also left my chip at home, but luckily I still had the "admit one" voucher from the Argus mtb race.
  10. The only way you can get your moneys worth on Sunday, is to rock up on your mtb. Take it easy, stop for a few beers along the way, eat, laugh, and then have more beers. Going to be a great day. My Epic 29er can take two water bottles, that equals 2 x beers. Happy me.
  11. Please excuse my ignorance guys, but where will it finish, cbd or in Greenpoint like usual.
  12. Are they going to stop people doing 2 laps, because I am sure most people are thinking of doing it.
  13. That was my first thought aswell, no way I am rocking slicks for 47km. Going back to knobblies, and wearing baggies.
  14. As I type this people I know in Joburg are cancelling their flights and accom. This is a huge f-up. Going to have major implications for the city.
  15. 50 percent of the field would not be able to complete that route. My girlfriend included, and she trains often.
  16. Between Nico and Lewis, I like Lewis more, waaay more, only because I really dislike Nico, about as much as you dislike Lewis. I am an Alonso fan, always have been, Riciardo, Button, Massa and Bottas all make me happy when they drive well.
  17. Yeah, agreed. So this is another year of Goldilocks vs crybaby Hamilton. I really dont think I can stomach another year of that.
  18. Enjoyed it, but left my racetec and race bike at home, took my trail bike. This is not a race, should rather be treated as a ride. Otherwise you will become too frustrated with the massive amounts of traffic. Wil do it again next year for sure. Met some really nice guys and girls along the way.
  19. You are going waaay off topic here mate. This isnt a Spez vs the rest debate. Bikes are expensive for sure. Thats why most of us buy them where we get the best price. See you on the trails in Paarl.
  20. Yes they are. But lets leave it at that. You obviously have friends there or something. I will rather support my local shop in Paarl.
  21. Not mixed retailers, normal bike shops. Not these fancy stores full of lights and bikes and sky high prices. These concept stores remind me of some shops in the V and A waterfront, where there are 4 guys inside with suits, 2 items of clothing, and no customers. I have had the worst experience with the Somerset West concept store, twice. Went to the Revolution store to look at a Specific bike over the holiday period, the guys in there were no really helpfull, and they did not know the Spez product range. So why must I bother. I will stick to the smaller shops, where I get great service and much better prices.
  22. With Cyclefunatic losing the Spez dealership, and the concept stores in Town and Somerset West, the only Spez shops are Paarl, Bmt Stellies and Bridge cycles. My options are becoming less and less, too many more of these concept boutiques and I will have to change my brand.
