  1. The world cup actually has the normal SID fork. Its about a 100k, depending on how much your lbs loves you. Normal Epic is R130k, but anyone qualifies for 10 percent discount. I know guys who have bought new for just over a 100k. Most of our local guys are riding the world cup versions, the rs1 is not favoured at this stage. All big big bucks. Our Rand really is worth absolutely squat.
  2. Are they going to be offered as frame only options? A expert world cup Epic is R65k, x01, sid, carbon rims etc. So a little cheaper than the Pyga. Also a Expert Stumpjumper is R67 500, with xtr, Pike, brain and carbon rims. So also cheaper than the max. Also, the XO1 bikes are specced with x1 cranks and shifters, so not really full xo1. But hey, great looking machine. Cant wait to ride it.
  3. Good to know. No really, glad it is a alternative to the Epic.
  4. Thats quite alternative, not having ridden the most popular marathon bike in SA. Maybe go try it sometime, it really is quite nice. First available demo day I wil go ride the Pyga. For sure. Open minded.
  5. True, but this was never a vs thread. The Pyga is great looking, BUT, none of us have ridden it. Where almost everyone has ridden a Epic.
  6. So right there, that is me out of this argument. No proof to back that.
  7. If you have to ask. A s works is jot for you. Its all about the weight.
  8. S works Epic has a much better spec than this friend.
  9. Agreed, the Vipa has no appeal to me. Rides OK, but looks yucky.
  10. I hope you have your flame suit on. The anti Spaz brigade are going to hang you out to dry.
  11. How many world titles and olympic titles etc etc etc have been won on S works bikes. Been around forever. Like it or not, its a race winning bike. And at this stage, spec vs spec, Specialized is a lot cheaper than this.
  12. Nice bike, but the pricing is off. Fat bankers will enjoy this bike for sure.
  13. Now this I will buy. Can be used as a camera.
  14. Rode it a couple of weeks ago, absolutely awsome. Very fast, some decent jumps. Plus it is right around the corner from g spot. Make a day of it.
  15. I also have the Pike on my 2015 expert. Those short chainstays, now that seems like good fun. Oh well. Suppose we can look forward to riding them.
  16. Two things stand out for me. No carbon rims, and no brain. Will have to see how this thing rides, I really love the trail tune brain. Looks fantastic, but it seems really close to the enduro now. S-works 650b in my future if it rides as good as it looks.
  17. I think my dropper has 3 positions, and thats 2 more than I ever use.
  18. Stunning bike, but since riding a bike that can take 2 bottle cages in the frame, I wont go back to just 1.
  19. Must say, stunning machine. I would buy one.
  20. My Alu rims were always dented and buckled. Got sooo tired of it, bought carbon and never looked back. 2 years now on a set of Roval rims and not a single problem. So yeah, absolutely agree with you.
  21. Flippen sexy wheels. I think the price is fair aswell.
  22. Agreed. Watched it on pvr, but had my finger on the forward button for most of it. But, we can always count on Pastor for some entertainment, oh, and of course the Renault engine.
  23. aah,okay.
  24. I dont quite get it. But a Nissan is quite at home on the back of a tow truck.
