  1. you guys faf around with you bikes way too much. you should ride it a bit. if it breaks fix it. ride it again. you guys act as if its some NASA piece of equipment. All thats really needed is a good wake up smack from your spouse. Go ride your bike.!!!

  4. Interesting thing about the salt... Funny though, from the 1st of Nov i cut salt out of my diet. HAd that salty drink about lunch time, and added just a bit to my drink just got back home from a 96km. no isues, no cramp.. That could be it, it could not....
  5. R185 worth of Tik in a water bottle will make you go very very fast, Such a pity he'll be in the dark now

  10. Hi. where can i get Fithealth Zero Cramp tablets
  11. What causes a leg cramp? at +70km into a race? is it what one drinks? or what you eat? Some have told me Creatine draws water out of the muscle, hence the cramp. How true is this. Some have said FastFuel Lactic Buffer, will cause serious cramps. for two years i had no problem, now im cramping on every race, even the club rides. im adding Creatine monohydrate to my drink, surley this cannot be the cause.
  12. Who are the 2 riders who rode the single track last night. switching your light off, was not a very good idea caused people to go and look for you.... i know it mite sound strange, but seeing other lights in the forrest at night could also mean lots of danger. so we understand that you put it off. night riders need to at least identify themselves, by some means or other. cause it wont be cool riding towards light, to find out the the light is being held by a robber.... Some ideas here. Whistles? code words? Safety is at stake here. All we wanted was to join up, so that we could be 4 BTW. you had some pretty hectic lights
  13. With the traffic surveilance systems we have, the SAP will find this guy before the end of the day. The only sad thing about it is, his attorney will probably get him off. An example needs to be made of this guy. The justice system needs to put across a message that its not acceptable to run down cyclist. A partition needs to be drawn up. Chris RIP. my condolences to the Family.
  14. Thanks. and does it go over old Hels? im confused between this race and the Medalion
  15. Hi does anyone have a profile for this race
  16. You cant use the normal epoxy...you will have to use a grinder to get the valve out You have to use the Epoxy Rubber mend ( the car one) How do i paste a pic here
  17. 10am today cut out the valve from an old road tube. taped up the rim. stuck the valve in with some rubber epoxy glue tightened the nut. and proceeded with the procedure. 7pm. its still hard!!! NB oko was very thick so half oko half water. its still hard. doing the back wheel now.
  18. OKO can be bought at any Trentyre branch R60. i have all the tools, and man power......but No 20" tubes so now the project is stopped dead in its tracks. where in CT can i find them
  19. What all can be used as sealant? how well does OKO work?
  20. Dirt rider...you let the shop look at your wifes stuff!!!! Wow man!!!
  21. Like someone further up said. buy for the fit, looks of the frame, then the wheels. that nice groupset means nothing when you bash it against a rock. and last time i checked. all cranks go round and round. and the day you actually enter one of those MTB races, you'll see that the LX groupo's outnumber the others 10:1. and when you find you cant actually ride your bike up that rocky hill, you'll ask yourself if it was worth spending all that cash on that expensive Gset. rather put some money into your shock and brakes.
  22. Ok, so off the topic of training wheels now. we all do what makes us happy. that is what life is all about.. So who has a wife, and a training girlfriend on the side?
  23. thanks. i will look at that. im on a giant compact road, very race setup...no spacers under bar. with previous saddle i had no problem, then again it was 5cm shorter. will play around moving forward and backwards 5mm at a time. other that that, its bloody comfy
  24. Can any one help here. did my first ride on the fizik at kilarney last night. saddle is set up dead level. but it feels as if im slipping off the front.
