This is really getting close to home Do you have any more info? A lot of the PTA East guys including myself cycle in the area on a weekly basis.

Just entered can't wait to go back did the race back in 2002 when i was still a junior and it killed me. But i should be a lot wiser and fitter this time around.

I just tried the fit in the article you proposed and according to it i need to change the following Sadle back 2cm Seat high up by 3cm Stem shorten by 10mm (I have really girlishly small hands ) I think it might be a factor of MTB geometry vs Road. I have to say it is fairly close not taking any measurements.

It wasn't that bad every one knew it was going to be flat and fast like the PTA races so it lived up to the expectations. I really enjoyed riding through the informal settlement.

About two years ago i setup my bike using this system and worked perfect. I was doing about 6 hours a week. I started taking it a bit more serious this year and was spending 12+ hours a week on the bike i developed severe back pain and messed up my patella tracking after 2 months of intense therapy and not getting back on the bike i had my setup checked and it was close but not quite there 5mm here and there really makes a huge difference. The adjustments made related directly to my injury and I haven't had any problems since.

I did the Retul fitting at Bike basement in Rivonia. A bit expensive but the best service and fitting experience i have had so far. The 3D tracking tec is just above any other fitting system it gives you reliable and repeatable data that no other system can match. If you are looking for just a fit the other fitting systems will probably be fine but if you need a perfect fit i would highly recommend Retul.

Have to agree the even was well organized. The 50km was very rocky with lots of cut grass sections making it very uncomfortable but hey it is MTB after all so best I HTFU. Did anyone see what happened to the waterbuck that was running along and into the fence at the lion camp?
