  5. well much safer, just sometimes horses run infront of u, but thats all part of nature hey
  6. in and around london we paid between 15 and 20pounds a race, the crazy thing is if you multiply 15 with with 10rand its almost exactly the same as in london, and there you earn 4-6 times more.....THAT JUST SHOWS HOW EXPENSIVE SA IS
  7. everything is centered around cycling yes. If he wants to become a better cyclist, sprinter, better climber, better shape, less bodyfat, whatever the goal might be - we build the program around that. If he doesnt want to gain power but only want to improve his corestrenth then thats what we will focus on.
  8. Hahaha very very true
  9. remember, hes only been cycling for 2 months since he stopped, so dropping body fat more while improving power will be unhealthy, the body need carbs and protein to make sure the body recovers after weight training/power training/explosive training, so it works against fact that he HAS TO LOSE bodyfat. I think its on par. ....another thing. he never goes out running. He ran when we did the first test, and then again when we did the improved test. thats 2 km in 2 months. not a bad time
  10. I DID NOT TRAIN HIM, THIS IS IN GAUTENG, just for interest sake
  11. Here is a few pics of Christof van Heerden doing some of the explosive and core exercises i oncoporate in the power/strenth phase of the training program.
  12. 80% of the teams in the UK and Spain we raced against combined gym training atleast twice a week with there normal miles. Its weight bearing exercises, NOT BULKING OR BUILDING. Its there to improve strenth NOT MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE A BODYBUILDER. ITS THERE TO IMPROVE BONE DENSITY.
  13. for someone that did his first race a year ago, stopped riding and started again in August, combining with gym training since Dec its pretty good id say. Its not just the time. This guy can sprint.
  14. Between R180 and R200 p hour, normal personal training rates. Nice thing is that there is no joining fees and we do a fitness test every 1 to 2 months to show exactly how much the person imporved. We also do R300 a double session : 2 people trainig together. If anyone is int. Please book a free session.
  15. He weighed in at 76 when he started. Now about 73. - 3 kg is not 2 bad, We did not focus on weight loss, the program was mainly focussed on Power and general fitness.
