  1. http://www.oakley.com/images/store/watches/gearbox.png Ive had my Oakley Gearbox for the past 3 years... Sapphire Crystal & SSteel... Best part is that i have never seen another person wearing one
  2. New Golf, Old Golf... Who cares... I think its fantastic, more stores + more riders = more TRAILS?
  3. 1st time at VG... glad I only did the half... Thought I was fit, a bit buck starting in 'B'... did a fair amount of walking, punctured with 9kms to go (Its time for tubeless?), lost my sense of humour with slipping gears for the last 8kms but then just enjoyed a slow ride to the finish... I am the fittest I have been on a bike, thought I would have my best result in a Trailseeker = 2h32 :whistling: ... VG knocked me down a peg or two
  4. Is there a Beer 'meeting spot' for Hubbers after the race? I haven't met ANY yet?
  5. Ill be in 'Paige Project' kit... Look forward to it & the beers afterwards

  7. Looks like I have been moved up to B batch for the half... No negotiations, just a question as to my seeding index of 43.6 and the 'mistake' was rectified (I'm THAT guy)...
  8. Started in C for the Half @ Cullinan (2nd race), finished in 2h22 and finished the half at Hazeldene in 2h12.... Now I'm in D batch HAAAIBOO? Thought I was getting better and finishing higher up?
  9. Faith in humanity has been restored. Well done to everyone for making this possible... Enjoy every second on your Momsen
  10. 'Burn a Match' is my new best saying ...
  11. Not exactly leg busters, but that step climb (don't know what is called?) can hurt at pace and if you ride after the single track river section all the way up to the open road? Maybe the climbs are not that hectic for the super fit or the pro's
  12. Also did Blue on Sat with my 'Old' man & brother... Saw a Grey Duiker and a couple of Mongoose (not bikes)
  13. Have got to give 'Props' to Northern Farm... I love the place . I know its not the most tech place to ride and the singletrack is not as good as some other places on the (011) but it is AWESOME. I can do some distance offroad in a safe environment for R30 (single access) No matter how many people are there, it still doesn't feel 'busy' There are a couple climbs to test the legs Open fast sections Wildlife & Birds Can take a novice there without them feeling intimidated by the routes Never had anyone flying past me 'racing' for a Strava segments Bacon & Egg rolls There is MUD Its only 15kms from Fourways Can ride a good couple km's on the open flat section with my 3 year old lighty I could probably go on all day Well done Northern Farm
  14. I stopped smoking on Jan 1st this year... best thing I could have done, feeling fantastic and I can smell & taste again
  15. Thanks guys, I'm going to do some shopping around on the wkend and have a look at options... Hopefully I can pick up an 'old' 2013 model on the cheap
