I am riding again this month. 3rd one.

Theres was a good turnout this month. The route was varied this time, with us riding through the CBD up West Street. This was in line with the intention of CM, as the people in the CBD were very aware of the mass of cyclists. CM is the last friday of every month, leaving at 6pm from Moses Mabhida Stadium (meet opposite Nino's). Search for Critical Mass Durban on Facebook to be kept up to date.

Yip. And with the big corporates if you stay long all you are ever getting is an annual increase on par with inflation if you lucky. I got 2 calls from recruiters today. I can get R10k more per month for doing almost the same thing in another company...

At least I have something to look forward to...my first salary after qualification was quite a bit above that range, at 25. However, I know of people around my age still making more than I do.

So I just discovered this thread. I love a good cup of coffee. At home I have a good stainless steel kettle and some Nescafe classic. I also have a Russell Hobbs filter coffee machine with an assortment of coffee grounds. This is one of the best coffees I have tasted. So most of my coffee is drunk at work.

And then I probably know her as I did my articles with said big 4 company...but did not get top results. I came 11th in Board exams (because they only name the top 10 I can only assume i came 11th )

Hmmm...she is probably ex-(insert name of Big4 audit firm with green dot here) and she works for one of the 2 sugar companies based in Durban. Salary is not far off. I am 26 now. Hopefully will reach a bar in a few years time too and then I can buy a R50 bike too.

Damn! In that case..

I am a fairly newly qualified CA. Our CFO takes home a lot more than stated above. So the daughters salary may not be so criminal. As a CA in Durban, I earn a lot more than all of my friends and other people my age, but not buy a R50k bike lot. The big money is in your own business i think.

It would be interesting to tie this poll in with age.
