  1. Great event and well worth the trip to Cape Town. You guys in CT are really spoiled with the views and trails. Yip, loose the Spur Burgers...serve a proper lunch like Berg & Bush.
  2. As far as I'm aware yes, they make cheese when not building mtb tracks...I ride Tuesday and Thursday mornings and they open.
  3. Take something for cramps. Rennies works for me...
  4. Ok, was looking for full entry. I'm out
  5. Hi, sent you a SMS. I'm really interested if you selling the entry.
  6. This is what I enjoyed about the race!! Well organized and fun 70km route...
  7. Santa Cruz Tall Boy all the way with Fulcrum red metal wheels...John Smit was riding the 2014 tallboy at Route 66, enough said about BIg Guys.
  8. Day three the easiest of the lot. Was not impressed with today's route...what was with the 1km route through the informal settlement? To much road riding and no water for riders finishing (around the 3 hour mark) at the end!! R600 a day was really expensive...For R40.00 you can ride a lot of the route from Van Gaalens. The three days were a real challenge but not worth the money.
  9. Was that on the downhill after the 1st climb...very rocky? After two days of hell you got to try finish tomorrow.
  10. Was a loooong day in the saddle. Was really disappointed with the crappy burger served at the finish. No excuse for stale rolls...hopefully they make up for it tomorrow. When you pay so much to enter, you expect a lot more!!!
  11. Sorry to hear that but it does make me feel a bit better the others also suffered!
  12. 1st day today...really challenging (for me anyway) and great single track. Those rocks next to the Lanseria road were a real challenge. Thought I was going to quit at 40km with bad cramps. Hopefully the legs will feel better in the am for day 2.

    Just the wheels.
  14. Either: Oom Piet or Greek Church (there is a bit of climbing) or stick to the river...If I wasn't riding route 66 you could have joined our Sunday ride as I stay in the area.
  15. Route 66 Friday and Saturday morning. How many km do you want to do?
