Thanx for the comments guys, I really feels great to hear that there are people/cyclist out there that shares the same passion. My plan is to take this beyond donating bikes to people and kids that are in need. I would like to look at the actual needs of communities, families, kids, scholars and orphans etc. I discovered that sometimes the need is just something to eat, something to wear, something to play with. A week ago I cycled from Paarl to Riebeeck west early morning and it was pitch dark. I had my light obviously, but I passed a small group of school kids walking in the yellowline and I could see they were terrified to walk there, cause its a busy road. They can walk next to the road but they cant see infront of them and they will be wet befor they get to school. I also passed a group of kids waiting for the schoolbus and they were also practically invisible. So immediately I saw the need for some sort of reflective wear and I know that the department handed refective gear to the kids, but that was a while ago! I plan to hand out some refective gear to some of them and I will also try to talk to the Provincial Administration official wrt proper signage at the bus stop. This sounds like a mission and that its to far fetched, but I already made a Call to the PA and purchased 15 meteres of relective strip. Now all of a sudden it doesnt seem so difficult.
