  8. How do you trail run with those shoes on? Don't your feet hurt when you run over stones and small rocks ect? I do not use these shoes, I run with my Mizu's or Brooks. even after a 21km trail run my feet are sore from stones and rocks.. How can your feet be ok after wearing those on a 21km trail run? Or are they only suited for flat grass and tar roads?
  9. GUYS AND GIRLS!!!! You can help like I did!! This is what I do when I don't ride or run on the weekends. Perhaps some people just don't know how to help and reading the below can help you get started on the right track. The township dog owners, mostly young kids that actually love their dogs and cats are on a program. The Program includes ALPS feeding the dogs on a monthly basis by supplying the kids with Dog food blackets ect, giving food out to all Kids that have registered their dogs. What makes me sad is that the Kids waiting up to 10 Hours in the cold or heat with their dogs (that they love) don't have any food or water to drink. Mabie someone can help out a little with that? THIS WAS DONE ON SUNDAY WITH THE ALPS Group. THANK-YOU for the food donations and donations – this is where your donations go. What a successful day we had. We spayed and neutered 73 dogs and 1 cat and vaccinated, de-wormed and frontlined all that were operated on as well as around 50 puppies. We hospitalized 4 very sick dogs last night as well, they were placed on drips and meds upon their arrival just after 7am yesterday to stabilize them. We also handed out safe leads to every Owner and confiscated all ropes and chains that dogs are tied up and or walked with! We left the Township around 18h30 a very long and exhausting day, both mentally and physically. Kim and Dr Lorraine you worked so hard yesterday A BIG THANK-YOU!!!!!! Next is the Woman’s Day Breakfast to raise funds on 6 September and our next Spay Day is being planned for 28 September. We are always in need of food, please think about donating a bag or 2 of dog food every month and please ask your friends to collect as well as we need around 1000kg’s of dog food a month to feed the over 300 dogs we take care of. ALPS do two food drops a month and on the 27th july the dogs stitches will be removed and all will receive food J God Bless you all NPO Registration No.: 125-417 NPO PBO No.: 930 045 867 BEE Certificate No.: EME/B4A/0094/2014 Bank account: ALPS, Standard Bank Northgate, Branch Code 001106, Acc No 402145240 Visit and Like Us on Facebook : https://www.facebook...AnimalLovers.GP Follow us on Twitter : @ALPS_ZA YouTube : http://www.youtube.c...v2KXRHmzMuQRiWg Website : http://www.animallov...jectswing.co.za

  11. Time is coming for vigilante groups to start up ***SERIOUSLY*** One that caters for the removal of people that are rapists, removal of people that are bike jackers , removal of people that are kiddy fiddlers, the removal of people that are animal abusers especially people that fight Dogs!!! Honestly time has come. Things need to be done, The Law needs to be bent slightly like the taxi drivers do.

  21. Dear Friends Following the unprecedented success of our Facebook ‘Brick in the Wall’ initiative, we have decided to expand the reach of this campaign. After five years of begging and borrowing, our founder recently signed the transfer papers on the new Dogtown SA property. It is here that over time, the best Rehabilitation Centre in Africa will be created. But the real work is still ahead of us. The perimeter of this property is 1.5 kilometers, which needs to be fenced and secured. The general concept of the campaign is pictured below. Each brick costs just R50, and you can donate one brick or 12 to fill a panel. You can dedicate your brick to anyone, use your own name or use it to create exposure for your business. Once payment notification has been received, plus the name(s) to be placed on the bricks, a new Wall Panel will be posted on our Facebook page, which enjoys more than 46,000 followers. You can donate a brick in lieu of a gift for someone’s birthday, or any other occasion, or you can immortalize a loved one who has passed away. Paws Truly Pat Barr-Sanders : 079 144 0580
