No not only 29ers Use a 29 or 26er, but do long, long rides on what ever you choose. There was a mix of both as well as some of the new 27.5's.

I Did the whole ride. AWESOME EVENT!!! This is not only a race but also A SERIOUS ENDURANCE EVENT. People coming into this ride ( I mean THE WHOLE 361km's) be ready and prepare in advanced. 42 degree heat this year was a no joke situation. Training: Ride Breedts Nek 5 times in a row from the farm to the small shop and...treat each time over the top to each point as a water point. when you can do that then do 361 solo. 361 is the Big Brother to the Trans Baviaans:) Thanks again Dryland.

Tough Race but We MADE it. 36one water points and table offerings were superb. 42 degree heat in the day at 1pm gave alot of riders the white flag..retire and unfortunatly give up. The nights were 24 degrees with those temps you start seeing things that arnt there..mad fix. Beeeg respect to all 36one solo rider. respect to all 180km riders tooo. Huge respect to Bierman the 24hour champ and your time not to mention the relay teams....jeez Everyone involved..Thanks.

Hi Ryan. I have avid 5 brakes. Which bike shop by personal preference bleeds Avid brakes right. perfectly. I have been to two bike shops in jhb both have bled the avids like S..T I swopped brakes because of this exact bleeding issue. Thanks.
