I was actually plotting the route like that, but wasn't to sure about the section from the waterfront via N1 to Marine Drive off ramp. Is it safe to cycle that section? Not just worried about cars? Definitely doing the coffee stops, well maybe a beer might slip in there somewhere

Question to all the experienced CTCT riders and people knowing the Cape relatively well... I'm planning to ride back from the finish to Melkbos as we're staying there with friends. What would be the safest route back? Or is it a bit to risky?

I would give anything to ride the CTCT with my father... never had the opportunity before either as he passed away 7yrs ago and i only started cycling in 2012, but Cape Town and especially the drive around Camps Bay over Suikerbossie was his ultimate favorite when we visited the Cape. He would have loved this!!! Cherish this, no matter how old you are, before you know it, it's gone.

2 Days of Simonsberg Fairtree Contour Stage Race...

Definitely have to share your sentiments... Amazing event, well organized and an unforgettable experience out on your bike and these trails. The fact that the pros like Topeak Ergon team and Ariane, Ester and Jennie were also present made it even better. My first Fairtree Contour but definitely not my last.

On Strava, Activity Search you will find the elevation... Shows ±900m for the 37km.

Hory Shet.... 3F for me @ 07:38 start... 1st CTCT. Have no idea if that's good or bad but really don't care much. Doing this on my MTB so its a day out to enjoy with 35000 other peeps.

I've done the Atta in my CAM GJI GJI Elite Bib Saturday and i didn't experience any discomfort during the ride... What i can say though is use chamois cream, i truly believe in this stuff, specially on looooong rides.

Someone just mentioned on another thread that the 55km has 1350m elevation. Confirmed via the organizers that the website info is wrong, apparently!!!
