  1. If you are not familiar with seating tubeless propose that you fit the valves, put the tyre on the rim and zip upto to the garage and use the compressor, making sure you have a presta valve connection
  2. Clearly there is a common thread here - maxxis tyres and stans, they just dont go?? I have used stans for at least 4 years on Hutchinson, Panaracer and Kenda and have yet to experience this problem. Stans is good value for money relative to other products on the market market and holds up well. Any comment from stans or dont they want to enter the fray?
  3. Try taking a flat bladed screw driver that fits the head of the screw ie corner to corner and tap it in with a hammer all the while putting pressure in turning the s/driver. It should come lose and then replace The idea is that the s/driver blade is wedged and should make for a tight fit. Good luck..
  4. You go Angie, well done
  5. Interesting.... A lot of our local bike & componentry agencies could take a leaf out of their book. Makes me wonder why the importers of Park Tools in SA could not assist? Heres an up to Park Tools..........

The fork is 29 mm stanchion purchased 2006. The condition is considered is good in all aspects. Any input would be appreciated
  8. Named & shamed Yolande Speedy & her male companion cycling in the wrong direction.....
  9. What about the gel wrappers? cyclists are leaving more refuse in the reserve than the general public. It is a damn disgrace.........o
  10. What peeves me is the gel wrappers discarded. how difficult is it to return the wrapper to yor pocket. Of all the refuse left after a w/end the majority of this is from cyclists and not the general public. We need Suikerbos, training for the Epic i make this pilgrimage each w/end and always remind myself just how fortunate we are to have access to this safe and beautiful area. Another issue that was raised was cyclists urinating. Guess that this is a hard call but perhaps we can be a little more dicrete when it comes to body breaks. Personally i dont believe that the issues raised against the cyclists are from the public in general and probably relates to a specific incident. My experiences and i am talking hundreds of ks at Suikerbos have generally been good. Despite this there are always those who are going screw it up for others, thats human nature.........
