  1. Did the Boland Gravel Monster on rambler 45's. Tar, gravel and even managed to pedal through a heavy sand section. Would choose the same again, but for muddy conditions, would consider the Pirelli mixed.
  2. I was pleasantly surprised at the build quality and light weight of my son's Giant xtc 20". Perhaps worth a look at the 24".
  3. I went from xt10spd to deore12spd with sunrace 11-51 cassette. Front is a cheaper brand chainring with my standard cranks. Only a few months in, but great so far. It was a budget conversion but done right I guess by LBS and much improved the range and shifting speed. Was a bit cheaper than Sram NX kit and offered bigger gear range.
  4. I also have a herniated L5S1 disc, etc, etc... My biased advice is to try Body Stress Release. Biased because it works for me, and because I qualified as a BSR practitioner 3 years ago. Before having the op chat to a practitioner in your area. www.bodystressrelease.com Wishing you all the best.
  5. I know Dominic at www.summitbikes.co.za sells this unit and HR strap combo. Good price, last time I checked. Bought mine from another shop but bought my outfront mount from him. Happy with my unit 2 years going without issues.
  6. Bought this one from a buddy a few years ago.

    Traffic circle

I signalled toward the inside of the circle off course.

    Traffic circle

Thanx. I used the left lane, but had my arm out while approaching each exit. Car came past at speed and exited in front of me. Had to brake hard, locking rear brakes, but kept it uprite. It was like I wasn't there to him.

    Traffic circle

Hi Hubbers Can anyone tell me what the law states regarding cycling around a traffic circle. Keep to the left as always or use the lanes the same as a motor vehicle? Had a close call with a car.
  12. Got lost twice. Ended up doing 125km. Lack of marshals at important turnoffs. On the upside, got good prep for the One Tonner. No finish line in stellenbosch? Let me just say it was an interesting experience.
