  1. I didn't realise there was a shortage. What's the cause? Thank you, very helpful. Yup, just seen now. I can use my Discovery Miles there and get discounts too. That helps!
  2. The only LBS near me is Cyclelab in Fourways and they don't seem to stock a lot of things I'm after. So, I was wondering; where do people generally buy bike gear from? Like components, cleaning kits, tool kits, backpacks, clothing, etc? At the moment, I am looking for Muc-off cleaner kits; and not sure what sites I can and cannot trust. I read yesterday on these forums the CycleFactory closed long ago but site is still operating. Want to avoid these sorts of things. Would be great to have a nice Halfords type of deal (UK LBS) here in SA. But it seems we are very limited? Even trying to find a decent set of brakes (SLX or similar) and nice 1800mm rotors with adapters seems like an impossible task...
  3. Hmm that pump does look good - with a digital gauge. Nice. I might get one of these instead. Have a nice floor pump already but also with a horrid dial gauge
  4. Thanks for the recommendation. I am busy trying to decide if I should wear out the current tyres before replacing them or not with tubeless ones.
  5. Yes sir. though not Tander on there anymore; changed my alias.
  6. Good point, do you have any recommendations? I already have a floor pump. I hear you can buy a charger canister too.
  7. Trying to decide if I should wait until my Kenda tyres are "finished" before upgrading the the Maxxis. How long to tyres last anyway?
  8. Wow, thank you all for the great info and recommendations. Much appreciated! Thanks for the tyre recommendation as well, I've always liked Maxxies. I am considering changing the tyres "early" since I plan on doing more trails and want more confidence in the grip of the tyres, I am not so sure the Kenda's will hold well. I will update thread once I have done the conversion. Thanks all.
  9. What? 100m will cover most homes. Also it uses other iphones to locate your lost item.
  10. Hi all, I've recently gotten back into MTB's and bought myself a nice beginner bike from Cycle lab that I am happy with. It's the 2021 Scott Navajo 955. Pretty pleased with the bike at the moment, though looking at doing a few upgrades to it. this years once I get more into the sport. Main focus at the moment is trails. With that being said, the very first upgrade I'd like to do, is go tubeless. I hear it's a must and after some research; it definitely seems like the way to go! Having said that, I am having trouble finding out if the current tires are tubeless ready or not. Here's the specs of the bike: https://www.cyclelab.com/product/2021-scott-navajo-955-aluminium-hardtail-mountain-bike Tyres: Kenda Booster#2.4 / 30TPI If these tyres are not tubeless ready; which tyre would you recommend? I'd like something as wide as these and lots of grip for trials. thanks all!
  11. Bought one of these two weeks ago; to carry two bikes. Zero issues with it and a great price.
  12. Just be considered of the fact that this is not an Anti-theft device. There's a very high chance the tag will start beeping, when its no longer near your iPhone and near someone else's iPhone - it's primarily used to find things. Not track stolen things. The chances of a thief having an iPhone or someone in the area of the stolen item having one is high.
  13. With all these stories about Cajees, I will just not do business with them. I plan on learning as much as I can about MTBs and repairing them myself. Picked uo my bike last week and now just trying to find a decent place to get spares from online or locally.
  14. All these nice bikes. I have a hardtail bike; very basic. Going to also convert to SS - which I am starting to think is not ideal for trails and such.
  15. Do they also rent bikes? I am going to the farm as they rent bikes. (Busy saving up for a MTB - trying to get back into the sport. )
  16. That is one nice looking frame.. I'm almost tempted to build my own bike!
