  1. The problem with the buying and selling is not so much the people willing to pay the price, what's questionable is that not everyone has the opportunity to constantly watch the classifieds. So when others get home fron work for example, and really do need a bargain most of the bargains have been snapped up for resale at a higher price later on. It may be business, but a bit inconsiderate for a community forum
  2. crc is not exactly as cheap as you might think. i had the same thought but when the items arrived from crc, they were held at customs awaiting various charges. turned out it would have been cheaper to buy directly from the most expensive lbs
  3. hi everyone, i'm zane. been cycling about a year now, new to forums but been browsing the hub a long time. i'm doing multisport, and road cycling, when i have enough saved up, looking to branch into mtb. good thread. nice to meet everyone.
  4. thanks, he can't use the hubs, but will be building me a set.
  5. thanks for all the help, school fees paid, lesson learned. i've spoken to tour de frans, and a few other guys about a rebuild, nobody can use the hubs for me, so will be building a set with rapide. wayne says i should keep the paperweights for a while, he might be able to source some spares when the market opens up. appreciate the advice and concerns, thanks again.

  7. it has been a while, but sending the rims all over to try and get them repaired has taken longer than anticipated. seems i am forever the hopeful gullable dude expecting the best. guess i should change that.
  8. didn't mean to amuse anyone, consider it done.
  9. thanks. nothing to be sorry about, just considered school fees judging from the responses.
  10. i was hoping not to, but i guess for everyones sake, as well as an opportunity for him to air his side, i could say it was grant atherton
  11. thanks, gave him a shout, nothing he can do.
  12. thanks, will drop them a line.
  13. thanks. there really is no hard feelings, i have had other dealings on the hub, and all good. in the spirit of positivity, it's about moving forward now. i was hoping to be able to get some kind of refund or at least an apology, but if not, it's no use crying over spilt milk. the question now is to make the most out of it.
