  1. I get all mail from Fritz Pienaar to the same address; MTN Series, NISSAN Series (all Advendurance Events mail). I also see that Entrytime uses that address to send mail to me.
  2. Favourite Windhoek advert is the one with the Cressida and the Wing!
  3. I didn't say sue them. I said we have a case against them (pop them a mail and tell them to get lost)..... I don't have the time or will to sue anyone. And the new consumer act is only in effect from about October I think.
  4. For about R5 Brazillion!!!!
  5. It was MTN Cycling that supplied them with our E-Mail addresses. I tracked it because I use aliases for all internet communications. So I recieved the mail sent to mtncycling@mydomain.bla. That is the mail address I used for registring for the OFM Classic. I explicitly make sure I check the option NOT TO forward my details so according to the new consumer act we do have a case against them.
  6. You can search for a number. Here is the search for me when I went for a dip in the mud: http://www.oakpics.com/search.php?searchField=KEYWORD&searchstring=1259
  7. Pictures are available now: http://www.oakpics.com/albums.php?albumId=113479
  8. I think it is http://www.oakpics.com but the photos are not up yet Gatiepie2010-06-03 05:10:13
  9. I know my serial number as it is required by my insurance
  10. I'm in Edenvale and also look for group rides on Saturdays
  11. Me thinks it's a bike-shop buying the stolen bikes and reselling it.....
  12. Johan, if you can have a blue spanner, then I can have a blue casette :-)
  13. Is it posible to anodize Chrome Plated parts to get that real lovely pimped-up look like ionized aluminium parts? I thought it would look cool to have a blue casette! Gatiepie2010-05-24 04:59:12
  14. It is in Swartkoppies road, Alberton. Go to the web to get there exact co-ordinates (http://www.rietvleilifestylecentre.co.za/). We went for the picnic so it costed us R25 per adult and R15 per kid and R30 for the car. I think when you cycle there only and you park outside you pay nothing although I could be wrong.
  15. I didn't see that. I was at the picnic area with my family so I didn't explore all the facilities. Coming to think of it, my bike was covered in mud (and so was I) and it would have been easier to get rid of it before it dried completely.....
  16. I don't know who in here are in charge of the Rietvlei Zoo Farm, but I have to compliment you on a wonderful venue with fun for the whole family. I took my 4yr old daughter to ride the single track and she absolutely loved it (apart from riding into a tree and making a 135 degree turn too quickly). I also did all the trails in the venue and I have to admit I nearly soiled myself with the bull-run down at the south of the farm. Thoes drops were rather scary amazing and those fast sweeping tracks in the grassland were awesomely fast! And can someone tell me who Wendel is that had to take revenge of me 2 times? Great job guys!
  17. Personally I don't want to be associated with Think Bike. I think they should change the name to Bike, THINK!!!!! How many times do I see somebody with a Think Bike vest or sticker driving like a maniac. I used a motorbike for nearly 3 years as my only means of transport and the only way you live to tell the tale is to think for yourself and the 10 people around you. Not by wearing a vest and telling people to think about you. I would be more than willing to join/contribute to Think Bike if members/affiliates had to sign an agreement to state that you will obey ALL road rules and get your act right first before trying to change other people's behaviour.
  18. Nevermind, got the details on the web-site as you said we will...
  19. What time on the 6th of Feb and for how long? I need to figure out if I will do it now or after the Sani2c; although I think I need a service on my fork as it seems the clowns at my LBS just want to charge a lot of money and they don't actually know what they are doing.
  20. Ok, I think I have the real answer. The CS-M750 (9-speed) was manufactured from 2000 and the spacer rings were made from steel. The CS-M770 was manufactured from 2008 and the spacer rings were made from aluminium. The CS-M770 is almost 50g lighter than the CS-M750 cassette. The CS-M750 uses a hyperglide body and the CS-M770 uses Hyperglide-C body. The "C" stands for compact and means the freehub body will accept an 11T small cog. http://weightweenies.starbike.com/listings/components.php?type=cassettes http://www.bikeforums.net/archive/index.php/t-336264.html http://www.sheldonbrown.com/k7.html http://www.bikecircle.com/forums/tech-issues/59908-11t-cogs-hyperglide-c-and-other-esoterica.html Gatiepie2009-11-02 17:11:54
  21. True, but the topic says XT Cassette and you do get a CS-M770 which is a cassette. Here is the complete list of M775 items from Shimano: BL-M775 Disc Brake Lever BR-M775 Disc Brake FH-M775 Rear Freehub HB-M775 Front Hub ST-M775 Dual Control Lever for Disc Brake WH-M775 Deore XT Disc Brake Wheels 2wh33ls, if you want to get the details of any given part, just go to http://techdocs.shimano.com/techdocs/index.jsp and put in the product code.
  22. 5 Dad On a serious note. I cannot find a CS-M775 anywhere to do a comparison
  23. 5
  24. Take the money and buy a second hand racer. It works out cheaper and you will not believe what difference it makes. I got my 2007 Raleigh RC3000 second hand for R2000 and at that stage it has only done 600km. I train exclusively on my Dually MTB to avoid any roads and when I get on my small light racer, I fly. Take the cost of 2 wheelsets with slicks and you can get a great second hand racer. And you can use the racer on your indoor trainer for the days you oversleep.
