    Hub Ride

Haven't received any feedback from my begging yet. I'll grovel some more tomorrow. But at this point it looks like I'll have to wait for the next one.

  3. Thanks Guys, I had a lot of fun. Hog thanks for wristband. Sorry I did not stay for the braai. The whole "hub" seemed like a great bunch of people. Was worried about pitching up and not knowing anyone, but everyone made me feel welcome. Cheers, to all.
  4. Cheers, Now x6 horses in the race (including your x3).
  5. Does anyone know where we can find pics of this event?
  6. Drove back from gym yesterday morning (in my car) I needed to turn right at the intersection. There were two roadies approaching from the front. I signaled my intention to turn and was waiting for them to cross. As soon as they realized I was waiting for them to cross, both of them signaled that they were actually also going to turn right (their left). x1 Happy driver and x2 polite cyclists. Cheers guys.

  9. Thanks everyone, Good 'ol "RTFM" and fiddle it is then. (will check out the link in a second). Original request was based on the hope that there might be some "tricks of the trade" that isn't always available in the manual. Got home late last night .... dying to get a ride in, and with this horrid weather in Jhb it looks like tonight might be a no-go either . Mampara, I've tuned it good and proper, it looks unhappy that it hasn't done a proper ride yet. Staring at it so much that I'm sort of expecting a "Hoeezzzzzit" on the rebound once I get to ride it.VTSKING2009-02-04 05:52:01
  10. Hi Guys, Well managed to get myself a Rockshox Recon Race to replace my stock RS Suntour XCM that came with my bike. Can anyone point me to a decent guide for tuning your shocks. If searched on Google etc. But all the documentation is not what I am after. I am a complete noob, and would like step-by-step instructions on setting damping, rebound etc etc. Or is it a matter of adjusting on the fly until it feels right (it's just with all the control one has on these new shocks it must be quite easy to adjust one setting to the detriment of another). Any advice would be much appreciated.
  11. No worries, If Brits was gone I sure they would have had it on radio 702 or news24. I throughly enjoyed your original translation though.
  12. It is indeed that Brits is gone. Sorry minor correction: This should actually read, "Brits road is indeed narrow"VTSKING2009-01-15 06:50:47
