  1. Ok my mate spoke to one of the guys that we do Enduro with and he says that he would rather suggest a angle headset that only changes the head angle. This guy is a suspension designer for Morewood.
  2. If I may ask how much did you pay for it?
  3. The other option to do this is to get a angle headset by Canecreek.
  4. I have a Tomac Diplomat, wanna try it just to see what difference it makes in handling.
  5. They are too expensive due to them using Titanuim and not Brass.
  6. Can get a set from offsetbushings.com for R500
  7. Yea Porqui my opinion is more travel is better, especially when the going gets tough, lot more forgiving.
  8. Has anyone used or seen these offset bushes for your rear shock? They can slacken your head angle by up to 1.5 degrees. Curious to get a set
  9. Osiris I think you have pretty much made up your mind, full suspension all the way. Maybe not as light as a hardtail but I think comfort is key,the Anthem sounds like it is more for your type of riding. The Trance has a bit more of a relaxed head angle and is more trail orientated and not so much racing and marathon. The 650b works very well with Giants frame setup.Try mad ride one if possible.
  10. These Vids do work, and if you keep using them and fine tuning your technique you will see a different rider very quickly.
  11. Wahahaha well said.
  12. Every persons perception of technical is different,so even marked trails might say easy, moderate or difficult but some people might say that the easy for them was too technical. The nice thing in KZN is that we have a lot of technical to train on so that helps.
  13. That is what MTB is about dirt, mud, rocks, technical terrain is part and parcel of it all. Why did you buy the bike then if you don't want to get dirty. Amen for Enduro, now that is some wicked riding.
  14. This thread is gonna be a looooong one.
  15. Have a set of XO trails on my bike,180 front and rear, mad power and modulation on them had one small fixable issue but otherwise bombproof
  16. LBS can learn from this, there service sucks real bad. Well done Daild.
  17. Who says these guys only test on World Cup circuits,Santa cruz are one of the company's that were quick to jump on the 650b band wagon,so it's a matter of time until their DH bikes have them.Have a look at their advertising and they are punting it big time, but you are 100% right, this is the big thing now for them to make more money off of us.
  18. Almost all the woman are on 650b so that says something.Santa cruz are testing 650b guaranteed otherwise they are going to be left behind.
  19. They normally have a code on the side, give that to your bearing supplier and they will match the code.
  20. I race Enduros on mine, had to get a decent set of wheels built but my 29er does just fine. Where I lose in the very tight stuff I make it up somewhere else.
  21. Ride a 29er trailbike, (Tomac diplomat) got to admit it is awesome riding it in general, but when the trail gets Tight it does struggle a bit.For me it works seeing that I'm 6ft3 and when I bought my bike I had been out of cycling for 12years.So I rode a couple of bikes 26er and 29er and I just found that the 29er worked for me.My only criteria was that I wanted a trail bike and not a XC race bike,it was now time to have fun on the trail and that meant more travel than 100mm.But the saying is true-different strokes for different folks.
  22. Got a ground control on the front at the moment, they are ok but don't like to be cornered hard.Must phone Andre and see what they got.Did not think of Vee rubber they quite big into Enduro tires.
  23. Mission to get decent tires in RSA for Enduro.
  24. Hi I'm looking for 29er tires for Enduro,Maxxis Highroller2 and Minion DHR or some Hans Dampf Trailstar not Pacestars,or any suggestions of other tires thanks.
