Hi Everyone. I just got into the sport and are planning on going on a first trail ride soon. What time of day would be a good time for a newbie to take to the trail? I don't want to be a pain to riders who are regulars as I think everyone should be considerant towards each other and would liek to try and ajust the time I ride according to that. Also, I have just joined Tygerberg MTB club and wanna do one of the trails the clum manage. Any suggestions to where and on what route to start? Have a great evening ppl!

Thank you all. I bought the Sola 3 yesterday and went for my first ride today. Some offroad ad some road riding. Really happy with it and really looking forward to many trails and adventure with it.

What really would like to know wich one has the best components on? I know the Silverback is about a 1Kg lighter and is the same frame as the R13000 model. But brakes, derailers and that stuff is still greek to me to know what is better.

Thanks Tank Man. The derailers and shifters ect also better on Merida than Silverback? The Merida is on special for R7500 and Silverback R8000

Hi Everyone. I am new to the forum and planning on taking up Mountain Biking. I am stuck between two bikes I am thinking of buying. Im planning on doing some trails but not hardcore stuff. The two bikes Merida 7 TFS 300 or the Silverback Sola 3? Any one with suggestions of what to buy out of the two? Al advice will be welcome.
