    Water points on route ... why carry water for the 99km ? On longer rides I use the 500ml on bike and another 500ml bottle in back Jersey pocket. Or just carry less volume in your backpack. Im planning to do ezelenduro with 500ml on bike and 2 l in backpack .

    3 days PDS riding was great , took Duane's advice Châtel to morzine today .great but morzine side so much more traffic .... LOTS of guys riding . Morzine cooking .. By chance bumped into Mr Min in morzine doing final testing for Val di sole... We on our way there for some riding and to support our man.

    So arrived in Châtel today ... got camper parked at lovely camping spot , wife comfortable . Then hit the trails / bike park at Châtel at 12 till 4.30 . Bust my deraileur on last run ... luckily Boer maak n plan , so sorted again for tomorrow . Rained quite hard late afternoon so trails will be challenging. Happy days..

    Thanks . Yes the blue is pretty . The flows and R1 formulas have been a good upgrade .

    So did a small face plant riding a steep rocky downhill trail im cutting in hogsback ... decided to change the xt brakes on my jeffsy for a pair of formula R1 s I bought some time ago from CRC .... awaiting a build . Xt were good but lack modulation. Rode the R1 s today, jeffsy just got better again !!

    So planning our route to italy from france , time on route limited 3 days stop over in PDS . Seems on map chatel on route I wanna take towards como area on route to val di sole . Seems chatel more than enough riding , so think morzine area if I have more time in future .

    Are you planning to ride in the vercors area near grenoble ? Done that on road bike ,but apparently some good offroad riding as well. Beautiful area and close to our spot in the Ardeche.

    Another update , can't believe how much difference the new flow wheels with ibex's make on my jeffsy ... so much better on a a steep rocky downhill trail. This is now an even greater bike ... smiles all day !!

    Thanks , done a lot of france on roadbike , transalp 2006 and les2alps and trails in Ardeche Rhone Alpes ... yip im comfy with blue and light red . Keep a giant trance sx over in france ... decision. Go east or west from massive central.

    When and where are you guys going ?? Im over in france from 10/8 for some work for a week. Was thinking of either andorra and pyrenees or french alps,Italy last world cup val de sole and maybe eurobike for the last 3 weeks . Me and wife(assistant driver)in our camper road and trail bike.

    Check your rebound , probably too fast on rear .... needs to be slowish if you jumping.

    I use a giant side loading cage from sportsmans with 500ml bottles from mumbos plastic warehouse . Works 100%

    So rode jeffsy with new wheels today ... ibex 2.4 ,2 barr on flow 3/hope wheels. What a improvement , much stiffer and loads more traction ...happy days!! :-)

    Ive just got a set of hope/flow wheels , hope to try em sunday...definitely not light but like the profile of the 2.4 tyres and think they will be stiff. Jeffsy is a great bike and I also prefer the high setting for most my riding . Large blue cf changed xt to 1x and swopped saddle .
