RIP. Very sad news. I'm from Europe and come to CT every year a few times to train and cycled the stretch where it happened a lot of times and had some close encounters with cars, but have to say that things got worse with the My City busses going through there. It's like everywhere in the world, they are under pressure to stick to the time table which does create a whole lot more unnecessary dangerous situations. I also believe it's time that something has to be done to raise the awareness of the motorists, as cases like this particular accident travel far by e-media and will not be unnoticed by potential future cyclists wanting to enjoy the beautiful country.

Sorry to hear that, at least you're fine. Mine also got stolen 2 weeks ago and I'm not over yet let's hope you'll get it back.

Road bike just got stolen today the 4th of December between 14h30 and 15h00 from the front porch of the house on Bond street 20, Tamboerskloof Cape Town. It's matte Black with Dura Ace di2 10 speed fully integrated, SRM PC7 power meter, it's a custom Canyon CF SLX, with a different fork. On the top tube is written in Black letters: "MAD MAX" as well as on the down tube. There are some small silver stickers with a cross on both sides of the fork, steerer tube, seat post, the saddle is a Black fizik, the stem is Black carbon and the handle bar is Black on top flat shaped, handle bar tape is also Black. Dear all, I'm from abroad and will come to Cape Town from beginning of November until end of March for training and racing (road). I'm PPA member, male and 46 years old. My question: I asked PPA what races they would recommend me to do (see attached file)- during this period, in addition to those, what would you recommend me to race? Would it be better to get a CSA license? I will be doing the DC and if time permits the ENGEN before that and the Burger after that in November.
