  4. Hey. I am staying in plett from the 26 Dec till 4 Jan. Taking both mtb and road bike so would love some company. Would like to ride harkerville and other mtb trails in the region. Whats app me if anyone is keen. 0788441205
  5. dibs.... will email you.
  6. My training partner and me looking for a team for the DC. Finishing time around 5:30 - 5:45. Both from Sea Point area. Anyone know of a team with space please let me know.
  7. Does anyone know how the seeding works for this race? I see its not a PPA event, do they still use PPA seeding?
  8. Also rode chappies this morning.... felt like i was on another planet... one that smells like ash and has no colour. I'm sure after the winter it will be getting some colour back again. Still an awesome route to ride.
  9. Right attitude. We are all bummed... it sux, but PPA did a good job explaining in their email the different options they had and why they could not use them. To go out of cape town on the N1 or N2 with all the different traffic departments and route closures would be impossible, and there is no other route to get a 100km ride if you dont use the peninsula. 47km is a joke.... but its all they could do. Its still better than cancelling the event.
  10. Riders in these categories are at similar levels due to their seeding. It helps in the bunch to know who you are racing against in your individual category as you wont only be racing for overall positions but also your category positions.
  11. Thx Skubarra. Looks like Vissershok is in the beginning. Will make a change from the 99er route. Still gonna hurt, even on a fresh pair of legs.
  12. Terrible news. Condolences to the family. My City buses are a problem in this area. Was ridden off the road by one last week between camps bay and bantry bay. When i confronted driver he just looked away and drove off. this is the problem when you put taxi drivers into buses... now they have bigger weapons to cause damage to other road users.
  13. Does anyone have a route profile for this event. Cant see one on the PPA website. thanks.
  14. Between 50 - 100km. Ave training speeds 27 - 29 km/h.
  15. Hi. that is great. Let me know when you start up. Thanks.
