  1. Registration done and dusted. Asked how many registered for the race and seems they full on 1500 entries
  2. Did the 42km last year, but going for the 60km this year
  3. Also had one of those burgers... they were really good , cant wait for next years event, maybe this time I will take a longer breather at the top to take in the view
  4. wow.. wow.. what a well organised race, amazing weather. 8 very friendly water points, one with a spread I have never seen, lots of route markers Yes the sand was challenging, did not pick up many thorns, and one misplaced marker did create a detour through some water hazard, but overall I will be back for sure next year...
  5. Ok, decided on the 60km, weather prediction is that it wont be to hot on the trail.. holding thumbs
  6. Is it a worthwhile race to enter? Still deciding between the 63km and 40km I see it is a fairly flat track, which might help with speed, but how is the enjoyment level? Would assume it is not at the level of the tracks at Paul Cluver (those guys have really put in some effort in recently to even upgrade their tracks further)
  7. Might just rather do a combo of the Mezcal on the back and Barzo front, seeing that the others are not keen on the Saguaro
  8. I see that they getting VERY good reviews, also curious, of course they seem to have a bit of a price on them
  9. Been waiting for someone to revive the thread, so also very interested in the answers to the above question. I am also looking into getting a new set of tires with the focus back on MTBs. Intermediate rider that do a combination of trail / XC / etc. Someone suggested that I put the following on: Front: VITTORIA/GEAX SAGUARO 29 X 2.2 Back: VITTORIA/GEAX BARZO 29 X 2.25 Comments, or is there something else I need to look at rather.
