  1. Throwing some shade. (Demare is in my fantasy team so will look the other way. )
  2. Tomorrows start, bit of a gimmick. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6nks2m
  3. Or where the French favourites are. hehe
  4. "There's an old saying: "You can't always win a race, but you can make others lose." The personality, character and popularity of Thomas, Froome and Dumoulin could well matter more than people realise." Philippa York http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/philippa-york-analysis-bubbling-under-a-look-at-what-may-happen-next-at-the-tour-de-france/
  5. The impression I get is that where the crowds are hectic, such as Alpe d'Huez, it is very cosmopolitan. Hundreds of cycling fans/tourists have travelled from all over the world to get there. In that crowd there are people throwing punches, pee pee etc. How does anyone know it they’re French or not. Brailsford is pandering to the British public and doing his riders a disservice.
  6. I don't see riders telling their team which races they're prepared to do or not, it is a pro sport. (CF would be an exception to that, if he does win this Tour there can be little question to him being GOAT GC rider)
  7. World Tour teams have to do the Tour, no? And as if a pro cycling wouldn't do the Tour if invited.
  8. I've been trying to find this info i.e. how many fantasy teams specific riders are in??
  9. Amazing ride up the last climb. Within 7 seconds of the record up there -Pantani, Riis 1995. ( things in his favour could be an easy stage up to that point, better surface?, tailwind?) http://www.climbing-records.com/2018/07/roglic-explodes-watts-in-mende.html
  10. Enjoyed that sprint more than the hectic stuff you get in the first week.
  11. Another victim of the classics stage.
  12. After what they've done the last 2 days, today they climb over 5000m. Amazing. Anyone here done 5000m on a ride. (Savage, you there? )
  13. So that raises the question, does having a cool classics style stage in the first week worth losing 2 of the main podium challengers?
  14. Having second thoughts on CF attacking on the Alpe. I don't think he will want to ride up there on his own. And I don't think a guy with the chance of joining the few that have won 5 tours will 'sit up' for one of his teammates. He's already done that with Wiggins.
  15. Looking forward to it. Prediction - Sky ride super hard tempo over first 2 HC's and CF flies up Alpe d'Huez. (But I have been wrong before)
  16. Ok, forgot CF came second to Wiggins. Maybe I should have asked when last for a team pre Sky.
