  1. Thanks for the input Greg... much appreciated. That the very same issues I'm contemplating. However its really good to hear your experience. Enjoy it and hope you have many trouble free miles on it.
  2. Thanks for your contribution Chukky. Very well put... It never ceases to amaze me the difference in attitude you find when people know they can make money out of you, as opposed to when they know they can't or won't in the short-term. Being pro-active in assisting someone will only grow your brand and your reputation. Very short sighted in my opinion.
  3. Yeah good question.... well I like the sturdiness of it and mainly the ease of use for multiple users. This is also working out (initial outlay), far cheaper than a good smart trainer plus a spare cheapish road bike.
  4. Thanks Jensie.... question is regarding parts availability?
  5. Thanks Chris... just would like to know who I could turn to when service/parts required.
  6. Yes I know.... that's why I'm asking if anyone else has parts/servicing solutions for your ex-brand.
  7. About to pull the trigger on this...With this machine discontinued by the agent, is it a bad idea investing in one of these? Anyone know if parts/servicing are available through alternate channels?? BicyclePower cant provide any information other than its discontinued... All replies appreciated. Thanks
  8. Built a steel frame gravel bike which is pretty relaxed and comfortable. Then I tried a 2020 Trek Domane SL6... It was simply next level in every way. I don't think I'd buy another steel bike. IsoSpeed front and rear Wide rims Fat tyres Just awesome However I don't think all steel frames are equal and may offer better value than the latest carbon offerings.
  9. Not everyone's idea of the ultimate gravel bike but I can hardly think of a better bike for riding road/hard pack/grass verges... especially when comfort is a big factor. Upgrading from A FARR, this feels like an S-Class Merc! #2020TrekDomaneSL6 #40c tyres #myperfectbikeevenifitsupsidedown
  10. Can't say how chuffed I am to own this bike ...2020 Trek Domane SL6. Pics won't upload...????
  11. Anyone know about an apparent armed robbery on the acces road??
  12. Aah... thank you! We are getting ever closer to finding out the weight of the frame and fork together.
  13. Yes I think frame weights exclude the fork... wish someone could confirm if I'm right... Remember that I'm on a Large amd you're on a small frame. (Slight difference). I will soon confirm the exact weight of mine. Not that it bothers me much but I'd like to know for interest sake. Again, very happy to hear your feedback on the ride quality. Its really much more important to me than a bit of weight. As far as the brakes go, the Ultegras should be up to the job. (Better be considering my weight added to the thing! ????)
  14. My bike came in at 11.7kgs without pedals and sealant. Full Ultegra hydraulic 2 x 11sp. @andreas17777, I'm not 100% sure but I think the frame and fork is closer to 4kgs. I think a carbon fork will save a significant amount but the ride quality may not be as good (theoretically speaking and according to gogo@). If all goes well I should have my bike this week. I'll post the actual final weight of the bike.
