  1. They didn't charge extra for a day license either and as Frosty said, it doesn't appear under the CSA calendar so no need to worry about it.
  2. Wow dude! NICE! Glad you healed up and are coming back to ride it again! May I ask where and how it happened? So glad you not like some other guy(can't remember his name) who cried and moaned and blamed everyone cos he fell and broke his hip during the 1st Juma and would never ride again and blah blah blah... You sir are a true Mountain Biker! Hope you have an amazing day out there!
  3. The 22km is cool...but all the fun features are on the 54km! I did it last year, nearly died due to lack of fitness...but had a massive jol! Doing it again this year but still with a major lack of fitness! Just doing it for fun so not concerned about walking hills and so on... plus my bike is not quite designed for climbing!
  4. 54km for me too! Love this event!!!
  5. I laughed a little too hard at this! Day made!
  6. I ran the Ibex FR 2.25 on both front and rear and only had a bit of a issue with front grip in loose or pebbly type corners. Just upgraded the front to a Minion DHF 2.5 and still running the Ibex on the back (Center nobs are worn down nicely so it rolls nice and quick while still having the big side nobs mostly intact). So far it runs much better in the muddy flat corners and even the loamy flat corners. Gonna give it a test run at Haka this weekend!
  7. Registered...paid...and STOKED!
  8. or just a "Hacks & Bodges" (as they say on GMBN) thread....
  9. Had this issue with Conti's that came with my bike. We got past it by mixing Tube sealant in with the normal sealant... With the tube sealant being much thicker, it sealed the side walls and stopped the weeping. Took a top up or three and 2-3 weeks to seal them completely but it works well...Also seemed to help for bigger punctures where the normal sealant didn't want to seal. Since switched to Onza Ibex front and rear, 6 months, no weeping... But they have the FRC sidewalls which are thicker and probably helps. Also, I personally don't use Stans, Personally find the batches are too inconsistent, one batch is basically just water and the next sludge... Joke is that the local suppliers water the stuff down to make more money...but who knows! Sticking with Tyre Juice, seals the wheels every time!
  10. Don't you know droppers weigh too much for these racing snakes???? I cant ride without a dropper anymore....way too spoiled!
  11. Im in for the intermediate on the 21St! Cant wait!
  12. Last time I wore a skirt, the ladies got so jealous of these sexy tarantula legs, I had to swear an oath never to do that again! So I am sorry to disappoint you... Hahahahaha Next weekend would be perfect...any day! Let me know urgently, might already have a second classmate (he would look worse in a skirt) that will probably join!
  13. Well that is even better!!! So when is the next clinic for us guys? Finally got the cash to do a clinic! Wanna do one asap!
  14. Hey Peach! When is your next intermediate course at PWC?
  15. Well I ran 1.8bar rear and 1.6bar front last night and had grip for days...even when running wide into the damp grass...well not running wide, more like running tight? not used to the grip levels so when i turn in i end up turning too much and ending up in the grass... made for a few funny and crudely worded reactions! Going to drop it a little for tonight's ride and see how that feels.... I weigh around 65kg depending on the effect my morning coffee had
  16. And time for breakfast! But it was an awesome chat! Looking forward to my next visit there....and really hitting those jump lines with meaning!
  17. A massive THANK YOU to you, Robodog and the team at The Trail Head. Stopped in there yesterday to get my Onza's fitted and the guys there were beyond helpful! Decided to go with Ibex all round. Apologies again for these infernal rims giving you so much hell! Tested the setup last night and it was the perfect night for a test, had mud, gravel, stones, rocky bits and the ever horrid loose powder dust on hard pack... these tyres just stuck to everything. Can feel i am not used to that level of grip! Cant wait to tackle Haka on them!
  18. Yet another case of the Bike winning the affection race....
  19. Clearly the bike is winning for affection! Lets hope the missus isn't reading this...
  20. Peach's MTB Skills Clinic, 14 Feb 2016....The perfect valentines gift for the one true love in your life....Your Bike! Good marketing right there....if I do say so myself
  21. No stress man. Just sorting out a few things. Will give you call soon to set a time to bring in the bike for those tyres! Chat Soon!
  22. Looks wicked the way the rims pop with that frame colour... Love the shock factor! I agree with Eddy Gordo... Some shocking yellow grips would add to the look of the bike!
  23. Wow those treads are mean looking! Now I really want em! Those are some AWESOME looking wheels...love the colour!
