    DNF at Epic

Sorry Miss SA finalist Vanessa Haywood. Better known for her leading role in District 9.

    DNF at Epic

I think most do the work. There's an ex Miss SA, running legend Elana Meyer among'st other not real MTB'ers that are still there because they did the necessary work. But factors outside the riders control relegate them to DNF's.
  5. More good pics and coverage here http://bikemagic.com/
  6. I would like to believe the jersey thing was sorted, 36One slowed up on stage 1 for 360L to try catch up. If they were still pi$$ed they would have ridden on. I heard Burry's comment and thought it odd but it could just as well be not much in it. Still support both teams, but i have new respect for KE and DG fighting determination.

  10. I was there that year with you, behaved myself the night before, cant say the same for the evening after the race
  11. There are those that do try their luck but also prices have dropped (ok maybe not Songo's Specailzed on auction) so what they think is a fair price for what they paid you can get better new.

    Timing Chips

Most road races in Gauteng are timed either by Racetec or Championchip, you cannot use one type to race in another so would need both. MTB races SS timing with a few others as well.
  13. Theresa Ralph 2nd again today, that makes it 2nd in prologue, stage1 and stage 3 so far. Not too shabby.
  14. Yeah otherwise they just litterbugs
  15. T Thanks, i'm looking at their 29 HT which also come out with these wheels, they can only be better than cr@p Alex ones (Road and MTB had both, both suck for heavier riders). I see the top MTB Axis models also come out with them. My LBS is listed as a dealer but i did not see any on his floor this weekend.
  16. 11 hours.
  17. Guess where i live. Walkerville Dunblane Suikerbosrand MTB Lapeng Country Challenge EQSTRA Spring Classic
  18. My 29 DS weighed 13.1kg when i bought it, so i added extra weight by upgrading to slime tubes and liners.
  19. i like the look of the bike and parts seem decent, not sure of the wheels though and if they are durable, at least they not Alex.
  20. i expect some teams pushing to make up the difference in time to leaders, going to be plenty of tender rear ends tonight,
  21. Stage 2 is on SS now
  22. What i dont get is how few celeb riders if any are DNF. Granted a lot ride with a seasoned rider as a partner but they still have to put in 100% effort same as everyone.
  23. She's the leading lady.
  24. That's some recovery by bulls1 after the 2 previous stages Quite a recovery from Bulls1 after the 2 previous stages.
